Sleeping With The CEO

Chapter 261: Take Note

If there was one thing that Derek was really enjoying about his relationship with Emily, it was the flexibility. In his past relationships, now that he thought about it, things had always followed a set pattern. They went out, they did whatever activity it was that they had intended to do during their outing.

And then afterwards they had dinner at a fancy restaurant and then they headed back home, or to a hotel.

That had been how things had always been. But with Emily things were so topsy-turvy that there was no such thing as following the rules or going with the norm.

They were making things up as they went, and Derek was loving it. The fair had been an excellent example of that.

And as with everything with Emily, where he did not plan for every single eventuality, it had all worked out.

Now that the two of them were home, Derek had one more ace up his sleeve. It was true that he had spent most of the car ride

staring at their picture together. The very first picture of them as a couple. It was not something that Derek would get tired of seeing anytime soon. There was just something about looking at the two of them at the fair. The soft glow of the setting sun behind them.

That just made Derek feel settled.

If he could have, he would have carved a place for them in that moment in time and they would have lived there forever and ever. But as with all things in life, it had ended and they had to move on. But during the car ride Derek had thought of one last thing that he could do to prolong their first date. While Emily had been busy, focusing on the road and making sure that they got to the penthouse safely. He had sent out a quick text telling his usual chef that their emergency services were needed.
