Chapter 247 - 238: What to Do If My Boyfriend Is a Heartthrob

By the time everything was done, it was very late.
Nuonuo had fallen asleep at the hospital, being held by Tu Hengsha, and the group returned to Chen Qi’s new home.
Initially, Chen Qi and Su Ronggui both wanted to hold her, but how could Tu Hengsha hand her over to them? Chen Qi was still not fully recovered from her injuries, and Su Ronggui had sustained minor injuries today too, with a cut face and his palms and backs of his hands sliced by glass, a large cut on his wrist that required stitches.
Chen Qi’s house was still in a state of chaos.
After laying the child on the bed, the three stood among the shattered glass on the floor, with the nonsensical rants of Chen Qi’s husband still echoing in their ears, making the atmosphere awkward.
Chen Qi felt too ashamed to face the other two and kept her head down, "Thank you both. It’s late, you should go home."
Su Ronggui and Tu Hengsha looked at the broken and chaotic house, unable to imagine how, just hours ago, it had been bright, clean, and fragrant. They also couldn’t imagine how Chen Qi would handle the aftermath, with all the broken glass, furniture, and appliances, which were the landlord’s responsibility, now requiring complete renovation and replacement by Chen Qi.
"I’m okay. Eventually, I have to face it myself. I can’t always trouble you guys. I’ll deal with it slowly. Thank you both." Chen Qi bowed to them at ninety degrees.
Su Ronggui sighed inwardly, finally taking Tu Hengsha’s hand to leave. As they departed, he merely said, "We’ll go now. Take care."
Chen Qi remained in her bowing position until they both left and the door closed. Then, she slowly slid to the floor, kneeling on the shattered glass, bleeding from her knees without feeling the pain, tears silently streaming down.
