Chapter 1712: Big Brother
Qin Yi’s eyes gradually turned serious; Lang Ya’s combat strength could not be underestimated.
"Roar, roar...!"
A deafening Dragon Roar echoed from the swirling azure light.
Soon after, one enormous dragon head lifted up.
Nine giant dragons surrounded Lang Ya in the ocean of azure light, stretching out their massive heads and roaring at Qin Yi.
Qin Yi’s eyes narrowed slightly, his battle intent rising.
Lang Ya arrogantly said, "Qin Yi, let’s see if you can withstand my Nine Dragon Dance."
Qin Yi smiled faintly, "Come on, only after fighting will you know if it’s a dragon or a worm."
Lang Ya snorted coldly. "Wait and see, you’ll be crying."
After speaking, he waved his hand.
"Roar, roar...!"
Amidst earth-shattering roars, the giant dragons charged at Qin Yi.
These dragons were so large, spanning across the sky, racing to attack Qin Yi.
Qin Yi’s skin emitted a purple-gold hue, his body enveloped in Purple Light, instantly transforming into nine gigantic handprints.
Qin Yi raised his hand, striking out with a palm.
Nine massive purple handprints whistled out.
Dragon Capturing Hand.
A cultivation technique Qin Yi had never used before.
It’s undeniable; he obtained too many techniques from the Eye of Righteous and Evil, and it’s impossible to use them all.
The name Dragon Capturing Hand was aptly chosen, meant for capturing the little dragon whelp, Lang Ya.
A gigantic handprint roared out, directly gripping the neck of the leading giant dragon, smashing it fiercely into the ground.
With a bang, a storm swept through, and the massive dragon shadow exploded directly.
Then, the remaining eight gigantic handprints seemed alive, roaring out to accurately grasp the necks of the remaining eight giant dragons, slamming them harshly into the ground.
Amidst deafening explosions, the nine giant dragons were blown apart before reaching Qin Yi.
Lang Ya was dumbfounded on the spot.
Qin Yi was also somewhat shocked.
This Dragon Capturing Hand could really control the Dragon Clan’s techniques; it seemed designed specifically to counter them.
"Boom!"
Lang Ya’s aura shattered, the hundred-meter ocean of azure light around him exploded, sending him flying and spewing a mouthful of blood.
"Old ghost, where did you get this Dragon Capturing Hand?"
The Evil Lord was silent for a moment before replying, "I forgot. Throughout my life, I collected so many techniques that I can’t remember the sources."’
Lang Ya stood up, clutching his chest, staring at Qin Yi in astonishment, "How did you do it?"
Qin Yi’s move earlier clearly targeted a weakness of the Dragon Clan’s techniques.
"This Dragon Capturing Hand is a technique I obtained inadvertently, specifically restraining the Dragon Clan."
Lang Ya wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, "I lost."
"Call me Boss."
Lang Ya’s lips twitched twice, and with a muffled voice, he said, "Boss."
Qin Yi laughed, "Good little brother, in the future, your big brother will watch over you."
"You just got lucky, happened to know a technique that restrains our Dragon Clan’s techniques, what’s there to be proud of?"
Lang Ya muttered gloomily.
Qin Yi’s expression turned serious, "You think I’m being opportunistic? Any flashy tricks are powerless before absolute strength."
Lang Ya snorted but said nothing; he knew Qin Yi was right.
There’s no first place in literature, but no second place in martial arts.
In literary debates, two people may contest for first place, possibly arguing their entire lives without ever deciding a winner.
But martial arts are different; fight once, and whoever is stronger is first.
Qin Yi’s opportunism was true, but his combat power being stronger was also true.
"Alright, let’s head out!"
Lang Ya opened the domain exit, and the two stepped outside.
A small white cat, seeing Qin Yi appear, transformed into a white light, traversing hundreds of meters to leap into Qin Yi’s arms, watching him with big round eyes, relieved that he was unharmed.
Yun Mengyao and Yin Qianqian also rushed over.
Qin Yi was unharmed, while Lang Ya had blood at the corner of his mouth, half his face swollen, the outcome was clear.
Yin Qianqian teased, "Lang Ya, why is your face swollen? Did you bump into a wall?"
Lang Ya’s handsome face turned red, glaring at Qin Yi fiercely, this jerk, doesn’t he know not to hit someone in the face?
Lang Ya, being overly concerned with appearances, Qin Yi feared Yin Qianqian might upset him, so he changed the topic, "Everyone has made breakthroughs, congratulations are in order, let’s find an inn in the city and have a feast to celebrate, my treat."
"Oh dear, the iron rooster is actually willing to pull out some feathers." Yun Mengyao immediately chimed in with sarcasm.
Qin Yi looked at her with a hint of exasperation, "Don’t you appreciate kindness? I even gave you a Heavenly Thunder Fruit, such a precious heavenly material treasure, and you call me an iron rooster."
Yun Mengyao rolled her eyes, "I say it because I want to."
She didn’t truly think Qin Yi is stingy; it’s just her habit of teasing him.
Yin Qianqian laughed playfully, "Yaoyao was upset because when she was hungry earlier, you didn’t give her your treasure to eat."
Qin Yi’s smile stiffened, casting a glance at Yin Qianqian, once again glaring at her, this woman was spouting nonsense.
"Qin Yi, Sis Yin said your treasure turns hard with just a lick, what exactly is it? Take it out and let me have a look."
Qin Yi wore a wry smile, glanced towards Yin Qianqian, glaring at her again.
Yin Qianqian chuckled teasingly, "Turning hard with a lick is nothing. The key is, it softens after a long lick."
"So amazing?" Yun Mengyao grew increasingly curious.
Yin Qianqian said, "Of course, that’s why it’s called a treasure."
Yun Mengyao’s curiosity was piqued, pestering Qin Yi, "Qin Yi, take it out and let me have a look, don’t be stingy, I won’t snatch it."
Qin Yi was on the verge of tears, could that item be brought out?
Was this woman truly foolish or pretending? Although Yin Qianqian’s words were cryptic, anyone with a bit of common sense could guess what she was referring to.
"What’s this treasure, anyway?" Yun Mengyao was determined to find out.
Yin Qianqian laughed mischievously, "Guess what? What treasure can be soft and hard, and can even be eaten, strictly speaking, it’s sucked."
Yun Mengyao bent her head in thought and suddenly said, "I know what it is."
Yin Qianqian giggled maliciously, "You figured out what it is?"
"Of course I know, it’s a popsicle, sucked to eat."
Yin Qianqian wore an impish grin, "It’s a stick, but not a popsicle, you guessed wrong."
Yin Qianqian looked vexed, "What is it then?"
Qin Yi sweated profusely, quickly saying, "I’m starving, let’s hurry and eat a feast."
Then, holding the little white cat, he dashed towards the city.
"Hey, you stingy Qin Yi, isn’t it petty? Tell me, what treasure is it?"
Yun Mengyao clamored, chasing after him.
Yin Qianqian laughed until she shook; she truly wanted to see Yun Mengyao’s expression once she realized what she was desperately chasing.
...
Fengbo City had returned to tranquility.
Earlier, dark clouds loomed over the city, nearing collapse, scaring the city’s residents.
But soon, the storm subsided, and people excitedly discussed the recent events, then went about their business.
Humans are creatures of forgetfulness.
Ordinary folks, like chickens pecking at grains in a field, toil for food and warmth. You say it was apocalyptic, and they reply, aren’t things fine now? You say the City Lord is dead, and they respond, what does that have to do with me? Then, they lower their heads and continue to struggle for survival.
As for Qi Refiners, they’ve been buzzing, grouping together to discuss everything that happened.
