After the head nurse finished her shift last night, she was worried and deliberately walked past Nan Fei’s ward, coincidentally seeing Huo Beijiang constantly keeping vigil at the bedside, occasionally using a warm towel to wipe her face and hands, both gently and attentively.
The head nurse was very satisfied with what she saw, and only then did she leave for home with peace of mind.

"Alright! The patient is asleep, you don’t have to keep vigil all the time."
The head nurse helped Nan Fei cover her with the blanket and adjusted the pillow height before leading Fu Xinwu out, carefully closing the door. Once outside, she said, "I know Major General Huo is worried about his wife, but you don’t need to keep vigil all the time. Besides arranging an entire team of medical specialists responsible for her condition, the hospital has assigned four dedicated nurses to care for her, ensuring meticulous care."

Moreover, she noticed that the hospital corridors, entrances, and the small park for walks were guarded by soldiers in civilian clothes. Several times today, when searching for the patient and failing to find her, she wasn’t alarmed because she knew Major General Huo’s people were everywhere in the hospital.
If the patient wasn’t there, it must have been with Major General Huo’s approval, otherwise, the patient wouldn’t even be able to leave the corridor.

"It’s what we’re supposed to do." The head nurse nodded politely, placing her hands in the pockets of her nurse’s uniform as she returned to the nurse’s duty station. As soon as she entered, several young nurses gathered around her.
"Head nurse, what were you just discussing with Sister Fu?" a fourth-year intern assigned here for training blinked her lively eyes, full of curiosity.

"The young woman who was speaking with you in the corridor just now! Fu Xinwu, she’s a graduate student from our medical academy, the darling of all professors." The young girl praised with admiration, her face full of esteem. In their medical academy, most of the girls specialized in nursing, obstetrics, pediatrics, and such fields.
