Chapter 35
"It's been a while. Have you made a decision?"
It was the obstetrician he had seen before. The doctor clicked the mouse without taking his eyes off the monitor. Last time, Tae-seo had come alone, but this time, he was accompanied by a man who clearly looked like the baby’s father. Even so, the doctor’s expression remained completely unchanged.
Whether the baby’s father was the famous Kang Se-heon or not, the doctor didn’t seem to care. But Tae-seo felt differently.
His gaze kept flitting back and forth between Kang Se-heon and the doctor. There was no need to hide today’s obstetrics appointment, so he had mentioned it. When Kang Se-heon offered to take him, Tae-seo had agreed without much thought.
But the moment Kang Se-heon stepped into the consultation room with him, Tae-seo found himself completely thrown off, half out of his mind with shock.
— Are you seriously not going to leave?
— I have the right to hear this too.
Since the doctor was right in front of them, Tae-seo shot a look toward the door, silently urging Se-heon to step out. But Se-heon, fully aware of what he wanted, only sank deeper into the chair instead of getting up. Irritated, Tae-seo glared at him.
What was the point of letting everyone know he was the baby’s father?
The only reason Tae-seo had tried to stop Se-heon from coming in was because he was a public figure. He didn’t want people gossiping, so he had asked him to stay out. But Se-heon didn’t listen.
Now that he was inside the consultation room, it wasn’t just the doctor—Tae-seo could feel the nurse’s lingering stares as well. She had clearly recognized Kang Se-heon. There was no way to keep it completely under wraps now. But the person who should have been the most concerned, Se-heon himself, was completely unfazed, sitting there without a hint of unease.
Tae-seo was the first to give up.
