Kang Se-heon was flipping through a stack of documents when the vibration in his pocket made him reach inside his jacket. At the same time, his secretary, noticing the call, silently turned his attention back to the documents. Checking the caller ID, Se-heon gestured for his secretary to approach before answering the call.
[It’s today, right?]
"Yeah."
Jin Gyu-min’s blunt question was met with Se-heon’s indifferent response. Today was the day of Tae-seo’s obstetrics appointment. There was no need to hide it—Jin Gyu-min had obviously called because he knew. Se-heon returned his attention to the documents, and beside him, his secretary quickly pulled out a tablet and began tapping the screen.
As Se-heon scanned the screen and the paperwork, Jin Gyu-min spoke again.
[Has Tae-seo decided yet? Is he keeping the baby?]
"I haven’t heard anything yet."
So that was what he was so eager to know. Se-heon’s gaze briefly flickered toward his phone before he refocused on his task. He signed at the bottom of the final approval page and placed the pen on top of the stack before passing it all to his ★ 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ★ secretary.
"Reschedule everything for today."
"Understood."
Se-heon made it clear he wouldn’t be working any further today. The moment he set the pen aside, his secretary had already picked up on his intent. With a small nod, he tucked the tablet under his arm and pulled out his phone, quickly rearranging his boss’s schedule.
Se-heon watched his secretary for a moment before lifting his phone again. Jin Gyu-min, who had been quietly listening, seemed to sense the shift and spoke up.
