The rays of the morning sun bathed all beneath. Several nice-looking villas stretched across. The place was very serene, with trees lining several places. Occasionally, a few individuals would either fly across or walk across. This place had a different vibe, like that of an estate area, about it.
A young man with pale white skin and a lean athletic build stood before a villa. A skinny, tall businessman stood by his side. This was the real estate manager Kailen had found from a real estate company.
"Mr. Darkhaven, I hope this place is to your liking?" the man asked professionally.
Kailen nodded. He had already scanned the villa. There was no need to go inside and check whether or not he was okay with it.
"How much for this?" Kailen asked.
"400 gold coins, sir," the businessman replied.
Kailen paid the money to him. After that, Kailen walked to the door of the villa.

The security AI of the house resounded. The door opened. Kailen entered the house. He familiarized himself with the environment. Everything a regular house needed was there.
Currently, he was seated in the living room. Kailen decided to do a little research about the empire he was in. If possible, he wanted to find out about other surrounding empires and the political state between them. Kailen used his citizenship status to search for information online.
This was what he found out.
The Venzula Empire was headed by Empress Venzula Huros, a rank 7 novice-stage transcendent, who was famed in the surrounding regions and the empire for her profound use of the Principle of Fire. There were five major influential factions in the empire. The first and foremost was the Venzula Royal Family, which had ruled the empire for generations. The other factions included the Venzula National Bank, the Venzula Guild Union, the Venzula Empire Academy, and the Venzula Law Enforcement Agency.
To the immediate north of the Venzula Empire was the Andromis Imperium Empire. To the immediate south of the Venzula Empire was the Altair Empire. To the immediate east of the Venzula Empire was the Solaris Dominion Empire. To the immediate west of the Venzula Empire was the Meridian Oceanic Empire. Each of these empires was headed by rank 7 novice-stage transcendent-level powerhouses. Each of the empires had their own Academy, Guild Union, National Bank, and law enforcement agency. Also, the currency they traded in was gold coins.
"Turns out gold coins is the currency medium in the chaotic region of the universe. If four empires are using it to trade, that must be the case for all factions, organizations, and empires across the chaotic region of the universe," Kailen thought.
Kailen kept reading. Naturally, because the Venzula Empire and their neighboring empires were led by powerhouses at the same level, they could not attack each other. All of them were at peace with one another. Also, no one wanted to risk themselves to attack the other when they were not sure they could defeat and secure the resources of others.
"So they are technically at peace with one another, but if one of them breaks into the intermediate-stage transcendent level, it can tip the scales. The chaotic region of the universe is ruthless. If a war breaks out between them in the future, weak transcendents will become cannon fodder," Kailen noted.
Now that he had gotten a general overview of where he was, it was time to take on missions from the guild and level up.
"Can I take missions online?"
Kailen felt it was a hassle to go to the guild again. He tried to take on a mission online, but the guild did not provide such means.
"Looks like I have to go back."

Kailen entered the Dawnseer guild. Quickly, he proceeded towards the mission board. Several transcendents stood before the holographic board at the moment, scrolling through a list of missions. As they were going through the list of missions, a large holographic ranking list suddenly appeared in the center of the guild hall.
"Look, it’s the premium ranking list of the guild," someone whispered.
"Westeria managed to get on the list?"
"Damn, I envy her."
"She has access to the principle fragments tower now."
"Well, she only has five hours in the tower, considering she’s ranked at the bottom."
"Still, she’s on the premium list now, even though she’s ranked 50th. She has access to principle fragments; she can grow stronger."
"We should really do our best."
"Yeah."
Kailen observed everything quietly. So this was the premium ranking list the receptionist told him about.
"It seems the higher your rank, the longer the time you can spend in the principle fragments tower." A glint flashed through his eyes.
That meant he could not aim for normal missions. Time was not on his side after all. Kailen had read that even for those who had high principle comprehension potential ,it could take quite a while to make breakthroughs.
He could no longer utilize the pocket world for cultivation. Neither could principle fragments be taken from one place to another, else they would naturally disappear. Else, he would have used the time dilation ability of the pocket world in his favor. He would have taken the principle fragments to the pocket world to comprehend them there. This would have saved him a lot of time. However, it was impossible now.
"I need to make sure I have more time in the principle fragments tower. To do that, I need to get first place in the premium ranking," Kailen thought.
Kailen started going through the list of missions. Mission difficulties were graded into low, medium, and high. Kailen was searching for missions with high difficulty.
He took his time, going through several missions.
Finally, he reached the missions with high difficulty.
Finally, he paused to read through a high-difficulty mission that drew his attention.
