Chapter 700. Void Supreme 8
Kailen broke the silence. "Where next?"
***
The Void Supreme was doing something historical once again. From one supreme-level vimodial region to another, he left none of them alive. He appears. He eliminates. He moves.
The other supremes were silent spectators, accompanying him. This made the sight all the more awe-inspiring, domineering, and terrifying at the same time. Enemies the other supremes failed to eliminate after banding together in the past—enemies that had become their nightmare—the Void Supreme was eliminating them effortlessly. With surgical, terrifying efficiency.
It was as if he appeared to deliver a verdict to these supreme-level vimodials. His appearance marked their deaths. Very soon, all the vimodial supreme-level threats the supremes were aware of had been eliminated.
But this was not the end. Kailen Darkhaven didn’t end it there. His shadow creatures were scouting several regions during the time he was personally carrying out his own cleanup exercise. Once they discovered these threats, they overwhelmed them and brought them to an end.
All of this had happened in just one week. The Void Supreme had dealt with threats that had been plaguing the universe for a very long time in just a week. The whole universe (Light region of the universe) witnessed this.
It was a feat that was once again documented in virtual universe archives.
In the year 10078, July 11th of the Universe Calendar, the Void Supreme, Kailen Darkhaven, singlehandedly eliminated several supreme-level vimodial threats that had been plaguing the Universe Alliance for an extremely long time. The event was named the Alliance Salvation Day. This day would be celebrated as a public holiday of the Universe Calendar. Many deemed it the era the reign of the vimodials came to an end.
After this, the wedding of Emperor RiverBlood Legoland followed. Kailen was the best man at the wedding. It was a simple ceremony where only loved ones were invited. This was something Legoland preferred. After the wedding, Kailen returned to the Universe Alliance HQ.

"I need to go somewhere faraway for a while, fellow Supremes, to train."
Kailen had gathered the Supreme Council in the UA HQ. They were shocked. Train? Were they not supreme? What more training? They naturally knew their level was the highest ceiling in the universe.
Kailen didn’t explain further. Even if he told them about the chaotic universe and the transcendent level, what could they do about it?
"Void Supreme, can you explain further?"
"We are puzzled."
"Indeed," the supremes said.
Kailen replied, "July 11th did not mark the end of the vimodial threats plaguing the universe. More vimodials will keep rising if the root is not dealt with."
"Is the Void Supreme saying that he knows where to go to, to put an end to the enemy completely?" the Supreme of Extraction said.
Kailen nodded. "Yes. I will be away for a while. Please, keep the little I’ve shared with you to yourselves."
The other supremes nodded. They knew the Void Supreme had his reasons for not telling them more. Even if he did, they perceived they could not do anything about the situation. The reason why he was venturing wherever he was venturing to was because he was qualified to. They didn’t know where in the universe he could go to that they didn’t know.
At this moment, one of the supremes wearing a lens—the Analytical Supreme—squinted his eyes slightly. A glint flashed through his eyes. If the Void Supreme was saying he was going to a faraway place... did it mean it was... wait... was there another universe... or to be more precise, another part of the universe they were naturally not qualified to enter unless they reached a certain level, perhaps a level the Void Supreme had touched?
"Void Supreme, are you perhaps leaving for another region of the vast expanse..." the Analytical Supreme muttered.
Everything clicked in the minds of the other supremes. It made perfect sense. Kailen merely smiled. He didn’t say anything further. He neither admitted the fact nor refuted it. He left everything to the thoughts of the supremes.
"We will await your return, Sir." The supremes bowed respectfully at the same time. Kailen nodded warmly. He melded with the void and disappeared.

Arman Empire.
Royal Palace.
Kailen’s villa. On the terrace.
A young lady with white hair was in the embrace of a pale-skinned man. These two were naturally Kailen and Arrie.
"Babe, I will be leaving soon," Kailen said.
"Mmm," Arrie replied.
"Tell her," the voice of the Will of the Universe echoed in Kailen’s mind. She continued, "She deserves to know everything. She will even lay down her life for you if need be. It would be an insult to the love and loyalty she has for you and what you have both built to keep it from her."
Kailen nodded. He didn’t want to hide anything from Arrie in the first place. He only withheld things from her because the Will of the Universe had instructed him not to tell her. But it seemed she had changed her mind.
Kailen proceeded to tell Arrie everything about the Will of the Universe, the beginning of the vimodials, the six vimodial seats, the Light region of the universe, and the Edge region of the universe. He explained everything in detail, such as his connection to the Will of the Universe. How his death would lead to the death of the Will of the Universe. How his death would spell imbalance for the universe and ultimately the death of his loved ones, including Arrie, and the universe as a whole.
And how only by ending the six vimodial seats will the universe be preserved.
"Only by bringing an end to the six vimodial seats will the Will of the Universe remain," Kailen said.
"The six vimodial seats also know you have the Will of the Universe bound to you. If they kill you, she dies and everything will fall apart," Arrie added in understanding.
"We are bound to clash eventually. There’s nothing I can do about that. What I can do, though, is to prepare enough to face them and end them," Kailen added.
Arrie held his hand. "Everything depends on you. The fate of the Light region of the universe, the Edge region of the universe, and the Chaotic region of the universe. Kai, this weight is a heavy one to carry." Her voice was laced with concern and warmth.
Kailen shook his head. "From how I see it, the only weight I carry is the weight of my survival, you, and everyone else I care about. And that does not burden me. It only fuels my desire to grow stronger. We need to have that family we’ve been dreaming about, too. Plus, we haven’t even had our wedding yet." Kailen caressed her hair and kissed her forehead.
"Oh, Kai..." Arrie hugged him deeply and chuckled warmly. She spoke with certainty and utmost confidence. "If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s your ability to survive. No matter what obstacle you face, you have a mind that turns impossible situations around. And your ability to pull off the impossible is like breathing air. I do not doubt for one bit that you will bring an end to the vimodials. Also, don’t worry, my lips are sealed."
Kailen nodded warmly. Arrie believing in him gave him so much strength and filled his heart with warmth.
"Try and visit from time to time," Arrie added.
"I will."
The duo exchanged a passionate kiss under the illumination of the twin moons. After that, they remained in each other’s embrace for a while. None spoke a word. The silence was peaceful until Arrie broke it.
"You should be leaving now, Kai."
"Mm... I know. Tell Grandpa and the others I am travelling around for leisure." Kailen added, "Also, don’t forget to troll Charles and the others for not being present at my inauguration when they come out of seclusion."
Kailen added with a mischievous grin as his figure was melding with the void.
"You should think of the names of our future children instead of listening to pop songs all the time."
Arrie chuckled and shook her head as Kailen disappeared.
"You’ll get an earful from me when you get back, young man," she replied.
Kailen merely smirked.
"One more thing. All my shadow creatures are guarding the Astral and Arman Empire territories. They will also respond to your commands from now on. I instructed them to do so. Pretty cool, right?"
Arrie chuckled. Before she could reply, Kailen had disappeared. After Kailen disappeared, Arrie stood under the moonlight alone. "Always the cocky bastard." Warmth flashed through her eyes. "I will miss him," she added softly.

Somewhere in the Light region of the universe.
In the vast expanse.
The Will of the Universe appeared around Kailen. "It’s time."
Kailen nodded. He closed his eyes. The Will of the Universe’s eyes glowed with white light. A warm, strange, and unfamiliar feeling ran through his body as her eyes glowed.
Kailen heard a clicking sound in his consciousness. He saw several strands of light appear around him. Some sort of cocoon appeared around him in this state. Kailen felt himself bathed in a warm current at the moment. He felt like he was in some sort of ocean.
He felt his body changing. Everything was being altered completely. His consciousness also entered a state of subtle, yet turgid, vibrant staleness.
"This must be the consciousness sublimation the Will of the Universe told me about. Also, the change happening to my body must be the transcendent physique," Kailen thought.
Very soon, his body had changed completely. Kailen felt like he could crush the Light region of the universe with just a wave of his hand if he chose to. Still in the cocoon, he soon felt something strange. Before this whole process, he felt at one with space. He was space and space was him.
But now, he knew naturally, for a certainty, that he was rather a master over space. If he was equal and one with space—and was space before—he now knew he was a lord over space, a master over space itself.
"So I’m now a transcendent," Kailen thought as the cocoon disappeared. He reappeared again, reborn. Kailen felt a natural invisible thread that lined the Light universe. No, to be precise, he saw it.
"That’s the natural universal barrier that separates the Light region of the universe from the Chaotic region of the universe and the Edge region of the universe," the Will of the Universe explained. "The Edge region of the universe also has the same natural barrier, separating it from the Chaotic region of the universe and the Light region of the universe."
Kailen nodded.
She continued, "Only transcendents can naturally pass through these barriers that separate the three regions of the universe from one another and go to any of the three regions of the universe."
Kailen nodded in understanding. This also meant that in the future, an alien transcendent could stumble on the Light region of the universe and cause trouble.
The Will of the Universe said, "Don’t worry. No transcendent has any use for the Edge region and the Light region of the universe. There’s nothing that can help them grow stronger in the Light and Edge region. Why should they come here? As you are already aware of from what I’ve explained to you, the Chaotic region of the universe is where the only way for transcendents to grow stronger is—principle fragments. At most, a transcendent can visit the Light and Edge universe for tourist purposes if they have nothing to use their time for. But they won’t bother causing any harm. It’s simply beneath them."
Kailen nodded with relief and understanding. She was right. "I guess it’s time to leave."
Kailen melded with the void. He appeared in front of the barrier of the Light region of the universe. He turned to look back.
His gaze peered through the void. He saw his loved ones—Arrie, his grandparents, Phila, and others—eating a happy meal together.
A glint of emotion flashed through his eyes. He passed through the barrier and disappeared.
