He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 690 688.High Clearance

SCA general HQ

Residential District

Harrison Fordey's residence.

Two individuals were seated in a living room.

"Black Flask, congratulations on your breakthrough."

Kailen nodded. "Thank you."

"During this period, the SCA has really advanced thanks to the contribution you made before you entered seclusion. We are in your debt once again," Harrison said.

Kailen nodded warmly.

"Harrison, I need a bit of help with something."

Harrison realised Kailen's voice had turned serious. This could be serious.

"What do you need?" Harrison asked.

"My clearance level, it's at the level of a core member, so there is some information I do not have access to," Kailen said. "If you could use your clearance level as the president to check it for me, I will be very grateful."

"No need to use my clearance level," Harrison said. "Julia."

The moment Harrison spoke, a woman appeared from thin air into the living room.

"Update Black Flask's clearance level to that of the president."

Julia was a bit taken aback by President Fordey's request. However, she acted professionally. Also, she understood that the person with Harrison was a legend in the universe at the moment. He was The Mythic alchemist. It was not surprising for the president to show him such preferential treatment. He deserved it. Quickly, she disappeared.

"Thanks Harrison," Kailen replied warmly.

"No need to thank me. This is something I should have done before you went into seclusion," Harrison replied.

A notification appeared on Kailen's id slot screen. His clearance level had been updated to the level of the president. Harrison was silent. He didn't bother Kailen.

Kailen quickly checked the information he needed. Turns out the Ensi Demihuman Imperial Empire military HQ sent several Black ops agents to scout and covertly disrupt the operations of several vimodial outposts in a region called the Havoc Belt. As the name implied, the Havoc Belt was a place of complete chaos and anarchy. Pirate syndicates, vimodials, mercenary and assassin syndicates, and all sorts of criminals thrived there.

"This place reminds me of Chaotic Zone x77 during the time I was in the Astral Empire military," Kailen thought.

He continued reading. During this mission, the covert ops agents had gone silent and their comms had gone off. Their signals went dead. No one knew what had happened to them. The military didn't bother finding out because the covert ops agents had already been informed during the mission briefing that, if they ever found themselves in a life or death situation, they should not expect reinforcements. This was the nature of their mission. This is why it was a Black ops mission in the first place. It was supposed to be cruel, and deadly with high stakes.

Kailen connected the dots. Old Ha's daughters were definitely part of this black corps unit sent on this mission. Their unit had most likely been captured by a vimodial group in the Havoc Belt. After finding the location of the Havoc Belt, Kailen decided it was time to leave.

"Thank you Harrison."

Harrison nodded. "It seems you found what you are looking for."

"I did. I will take my leave now," Kailen replied.

"Alright," Harrison replied as Kailen melded with the void and disappeared.

"Whatever he's up to, it's definitely gonna cause another uproar soon," Harrison sighed and shook his head.

Ensi Demihuman Imperial Empire.

Military General HQ Central- Frontlines.

Several colonels were seated at a round table in a large room. A tall buff lion demihuman was seated at the head of the table. He had a lion head and tail, but every other part of his body had a humanoid anatomical structure. He was in a suit. Everyone looked at him respectfully. It was clear that whoever he was, he was powerful, and was the one who commanded authority over this meeting.

"Did the covert ops team 734 manage to transfer any Intel related to the operation before their comms went off?" The Lion demihuman asked.

Everyone turned to one person. She was the colonel in charge of monitoring the operation. She was clad in professional skirts and a suit. She had bunny ears, a human face, and fur all over her humanoid body.

"Nothing till now, Admiral Lionheart," she replied. "It seems they tried to send something, but the signal was jammed."

"That is not surprising, considering the Havoc Belt. Spatial storms disrupt the signals there over and over again. Sometimes the signals are working properly. At other times too it can go off," Admiral Lionheart said.

Everyone in the room nodded. This was the case with the Havoc Belt. This is one of the things that made missions there dangerous.

"It could be that they are alive, but their signals have been disrupted by the space storms, or they've been captured, or worse, they've been killed," one of the colonels, an elf, said.

Murmurs spread in the room as nods of agreement followed.

"I lean towards Colonel BlackPelt's reasoning too," Admiral Lionheart spoke. The murmurs ceased as all attention turned to him.

He continued, "I know this operation is very important. I am well aware that the Cerulean Fang Vimodial syndicate and other vimodial syndicates in the Havoc Belt, are planning something sinister, and they need to be deleted, before they expand their plans to the Frontlines, but there are other equally important operations that require the black ops. We can't sacrifice all of them for the sake of just one operation."

Everyone nodded reluctantly. They knew the admiral was right.

"What then do we do, sir?" someone asked.

"For now, we can only assume they are executing the operation, and that their signal went off because of space storms in the region, and not because they've been captured or killed," Lionheart said, tapping his hand on the table.

Everyone nodded with sighs at the moment.

Lionheart proceeded, gaze directed at the person supervising the Havoc Belt operation. "Inform me of any further developments, Colonel."

"Yes sir."

Lionheart stood. "Since there are no further things to be discussed, let's all return to our duties."

He disappeared after those last words. The colonels left the meeting hall, returning to their duties.
