Did that mean that Professor Darkhaven would become the next principal of the RiverBlood Empire Academy?

Many sighed in realization. So this was why he ended the civil war between Asura empires; turns out it was an academy mission. And he had even exceeded expectations in the end. He had achieved an unprecedented amount of credits with two missions. Not even the principal had amassed this level of credits with all the terrifying missions she had completed. The most shocking part was that his credits received were in line with the missions he had accomplished.
During this period, Kailen himself was currently cultivating in a natural secret realm of the academy. Many in the academy were speculating on when he would take over as the principal of the RiverBlood Empire Academy. However, Kailen himself didn’t care about such positions.
A couple of weeks passed in the blink of an eye during this period. The last week before Kailen left the natural secret realm, he went into the pocket world. Kailen reappeared in the natural secret realm 8 days later. He had returned to the natural secret realm. He had finally broken through to the rank 4 intermediate stage universe level after 200 days of cultivation in the pocket world.
"It should be time for the interempire Secondary Carrier Alliance conference," Kailen thought. He left the natural secret realm.

The rays of the sun filtered through the large trees, casting their serene warmth on all beneath. Kailen was calmly walking through the streets of the bustling academy. Wherever he passed, looks of admiration, fear, and genuine respect were directed his way. Some students and staff members even managed to greet him with eagerness.
The time dilation artifact appeared around him. "Looks like you are a celebrity now."
Kailen shook his head at her words. "Keeping a low profile is just too hard these days."
She scoffed. Who was he trying to fool? "It seems you might become the principal after all," she said.
Kailen’s eyes squinted lightly. "What do you mean?"
She replied: "Principal Theodora is planning to step down willingly. Everyone is talking about it in the academy. I’m sure there’s a plan at work here. Perhaps, you should pay her a visit to understand the situation better."
After that, she disappeared into the pocket world. However, the look on Kailen’s face when she told him was priceless. This kid—others would kill for such a position, but he looked like he had just swallowed a piece of rotten food. Hehe.
As for Kailen, he quickly melded with the void and disappeared. Why was the principal doing this to him? Sigh...
A figure materialized in front of a villa. Kailen walked towards the door and rang the doorbell.
"Professor Darkhaven, please come in."
Kailen nodded and entered the house. He saw Principal Theodora currently seated on a couch in the living room. However, someone else was there with her. What was Legoland doing here? Kailen joined them.
"Professor, I know why you are here. You must have heard that I will be stepping down from the position of principal; however, it’s not like the rumors are making it out to be," Theodora said, cutting straight to the point. She knew Professor Darkhaven was a busy person. She did not want to waste his time on unnecessary pleasantries.
Kailen appreciated her straightforwardness. During this time, Legoland was quiet. He had not spoken yet. Theodora continued: "How about you assume the position of the Principal in name, but I run the academy on your behalf as a vice principal—a newly appointed office agreed on by the emperor himself?"
She turned to Legoland, who nodded in genuine agreement.
She continued "With your prestige and accomplishments, having you as the principal of the academy will go a long way to further boost the prestige of the academy to higher heights. However, if you intend to run everything on your own, I can step down completely. I naturally want the best for the academy, after all."
Kailen squinted his eyes lightly. So this was their intention. Theodora had decided to leverage on his reputation to push the academy to higher heights. She deemed him being the principal more beneficial than her being the principal. Knowing he would reject the position because he would deem it distracting to his goals, she had decided to suggest an alternative—she runs the academy on his behalf. Turns out he was not gonna assume some stressful responsibilities and office work.
Legoland chipped in: "However, Kailen, if you disagree with any of these suggestions, we will proceed forward without changing anything. Theodora will keep being the principal in name and action."
Legoland and Theodora waited for Kailen’s decision.
"As long as I don’t get to do any work, it’s not a problem. I will be very busy with cultivation after the secondary Carrier alliance conference," Kailen said.
Legoland and Theodora exchanged looks. They understood him. He wanted to prioritize his cultivation above everything after he became a core member of the SCA general HQ. He would not in any way accept any more academy missions or responsibilities in any way from now on.
"Agreed." Theodora and Legoland nodded. Each of them however knew, that the reason Kailen had even agreed to this in the first place was because of his friendship with Legoland.
Legoland stood up and bowed lightly to Kailen. "Thank you, Kailen."
Kailen chuckled and waved his hand. "It’s nothing. We are friends after all. We need to have each other’s back."
Legoland nodded with warmth. A glint of admiration flashed through Theodora’s eyes. "He’s really someone who values those he cares about, as much as he’s extremely ruthless to enemies,"she thought.
"Now, when are we leaving for the conference?" Kailen asked.
