Kailen scrolled through the missions reserved for professors. After scrolling for a while, his gaze settled on one of the entries.

HQ Base 7009 a strategic base that serves as a launching point into several other bases and empire territory, has been strategically claimed by Vimodial forces. Empire troops sent to reclaim the base have been wiped out completely.
Operatives at the frontlines are thinned out at the moment, serving as valuable assets at different bases; therefore, they cannot be deployed.
Assistance level required:At least Rank 6 intermediate stage universe level.

"So the mission was posted by the frontline of the empire military. However, I believe the reward each of the organizations will offer their members who take on the mission will differ. The reward system I am seeing is the reward system of the academy," Kailen mused.

Kailen acknowledged the academy staff mission-reward system.
"Let’s get this mission over with."
Kailen melded with the void.

In a conference room.
"How are things going?" A woman seated at the head of the table spoke.
"Admiral, the situation still remains the same. None of the organizations consulted have taken on the mission." A man seated by her side, a vice admiral, spoke. Everyone in the room sighed.
"They must be thinking it’s a death sentence mission. No one wants to take a risk, after all," one of the colonels said.
Everyone nodded. "True. Even our operatives sent to reclaim the base were wiped out by the enemy forces. They are not stupid. Some of them could even be thinking the military wants to preserve our forces while we send their powerhouses to die on our behalf. Although that’s not the case, we can’t blame them if they were to harbor such thoughts," another person added.
Suddenly, the vice admiral’s eyes widened. He quickly whispered something into the ear of the admiral. A smile graced the face of the admiral.
"The Mad Tactician has taken on the mission."
The moment she spoke, everyone sighed in relief. That’s right. If it was that man, this whole situation would be resolved. He had the knack for pulling off the impossible, after all. Considering everything he has accomplished, a situation like this was not worth mentioning. It was just that they had not expected someone of his caliber to take on this mission.
Kailen Darkhaven was a universal legend, after all.
"Our concerns are not necessary anymore. Someone like him won’t even have any reservations about the mission. He’s simply too powerful to care about the dangers associated with it," one of the colonels, a dwarf, said.
"Indeed. But, I think this is a great opportunity to boost empire morale." A glint flashed through the eyes of the admiral.
"Admiral Riverwall, do you mean..."
"Yes," the admiral replied. "A live streaming won’t be bad. I don’t think Professor Darkhaven will have any problem with that. He simply does not care to react to something like that. After all, at his level, there’s no need for him to keep a low profile."
Everyone in the room nodded as they exchanged murmurs of agreement.
"I remember watching some of his videos when the Astral Empire was a low-tier civilization. Quite a legendary thing to watch, even though he was just at the galactic level."
Everyone in the room was full of anticipation. At this moment, they were no longer concerned about whether or not HQ Base 7009 would be reclaimed. They were curious about what method he would use to reclaim the base.

A figure stepped out of the void.
Black hair and eyes as inky as the void. Pale white skin, tall athletic lean build. He was clad in sneakers, jeans and long coat.
This figure was, naturally, Kailen.
Several celestial bodies floated in the nearby vicinity. Below him was a very large planet the size of a star.
"This must be the place," Kailen muttered.
His perception spread outwards, covering every nook and cranny of the planet spanning the size of a star below him. Kailen wouldn’t rush overconfidently into the base just because he was strong; he decided to assess the situation there before he ventured into the place.
"The strongest at the base is at the rank 7 intermediate stage universe level. He does not have a runic attack repelling artifact on him. Let’s use a runic attack to deal with him and use the law of space to handle the rest at the base. It’s been a while since I used the law of space in combat in the real world, after all."
Kailen turned into a streak of light and proceeded towards HQ Base 7009.
