Chapter 161: CH 161: The introduction
Dave had then stood from his position, his movements were fluid and deliberate, as he turned to face Jackie and the rest of the group, who were now standing back on their feet.
"Reward these men awesomely," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "They did their jobs right. Despite seeing how outnumbered they are, they didn’t back away or give in. Instead, they decided to fight and defend against the base until reinforcement comes."
As Dave spoke, a hint of a smile played on his lips, and his eyes sparkled with approval. "Also, if they want it, they can be promoted to whatever position they want," he continued. "But having them as the guards gives me assurance that we’re safe from any threat that might try to invade our faction in the future."
The group bowed again, their voices rising in unison. "Thanks for your massive grace, great leader!" Their words were filled with reverence and gratitude, and Dave’s smile grew wider.
"You guys flatter me," he said, his voice light and amused. "How is that massive grace? It’s just the truth of things. I only merely deliver justice to the matter." His words were laced with humility, and the group chuckled in response.
Jackie stepped forward, a look of excitement on his face. "We’re glad you’re back, leader," he said. "There have been great discoveries in just the little time you left. I’ve got to learn a little more about the spaceships and how we could get them." His tone was filled with enthusiasm, and Dave’s eyes lit up with interest.
"Unfortunately, I’ve got a more bigger news than yours," Dave said, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Wanna bet?" Both men laughed, their banter filling the air.
As they chuckled, Jackie’s gaze fell on the group standing behind Dave. "But who are these people that came with you?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
Dave’s smile grew wider. "Ah, right, I haven’t introduced them to you," he said, his voice filled with anticipation.
"These people here are beast tamers," Dave said, his hand sweeping across the group behind him. "I’m sure you must have seen the announcement from Howard," he continued, his eyes locked on Jackie’s.
"Apart from your group, the merger group, there are also the beast tamer group. They are the second group I’ll be discovering after yours, and I’m still willing to gather the rest of the faction - all those having beasts as their primary powers."
As Dave spoke, Peter and the rest of the group slid off their beasts, their movements fluid and synchronized. They walked forward, their footsteps quiet on the ground, until they stood before Jackie and the others. With a synchronized movement, they bowed, their hands pressed to their chests in a gesture of respect.
