Chapter 137: CH 137: Escape (MUC 5)
Kim Hyun’s eyes gleamed with a mixture of calculation and desperation as he slowly raised his hands in surrender. Unbeknownst to Dave, he was secretly summoning about 300 beasts he’d previously tamed but were spread out across the city.
He gave them order to converge on his location. It would take a little while for them to arrive, but Kim Hyun had intended to use that time to stall Dave.
"Before you do whatever you want to do to me, I have a question," Kim Hyun said, his voice laced with a hint of curiosity. "What’s your relationship with Kim Sun? I noticed she cares a lot about you. Why?"
Dave’s sword remained pointed at Kim Hyun’s neck, but he didn’t flinch as he replied, "She’s my school principal, are you done?"
Kim Hyun’s eyes lit up with interest. "School principal? Oh, that school she ran to," he said, his tone dripping with intrigue.
But Dave had decided to ask a question of his own. "I have a question for you too, why did you capture her in the first place?" He said with a serious tone.
Kim Hyun’s expression remained neutral, but his eyes narrowed slightly. "You really don’t know?" He asked, a sly smile spreading across his face.
"Do you even know who she really is? Or the fact that she’s using a fake name?" Kim Hyun’s words hung in the air, piquing Dave’s interest.
"Who is she? And why is she using a fake name?" Dave asked, his patience wearing thin.
