Forbiddenly Bound To  You

Chapter 117: Pleasure You

"Thwank you, Mummy," little Zami said, taking the bottle from Mira with a warm, smile. Mira nodded quietly, her heart swelling as she looked at her daughter, then shifted her gaze to Zamian. She couldn’t help but wonder how he always seemed to know exactly when Zami was about to turn around. Just a second before, he’d moved his hand away, as if he’d sensed it coming. Was it some kind of instinct? Or did he know their daughter so well that he could anticipate her every move? Whatever it was, it felt uncanny, as if he could read their daughter’s mind.

Her heart raced a little as she considered how close they’d been to being caught in an affectionate moment. There was a thrill in the secrecy of it—she wanted to laugh, but the closeness they’d almost shared left a lingering warmth, a reminder of how much she still craved him.

Mira turned to Zamian, a small smile tugging at her lips.

"Be careful," she whispered, trying to hide the mixture of amusement and lingering desire in her voice. She couldn’t deny the twinge of disappointment she felt when he’d pulled his hand away earlier. It was ironic, really—she’d been the one to tell him to behave, to be mindful of their daughter. Yet here she was, yearning for just one more stolen touch, one more hint of the intimacy they shared when they were alone.

Zamian smiled knowingly, his eyes reflecting a quiet mischief that made her heart skip. He picked up a slice of pizza and handed it to her, his fingers brushing hers in a gesture that felt far more charged than it should have.

"Looks like we’ll have to pause this for now," he murmured, his voice low and playful. They both knew he didn’t want Zami to accidentally catch them doing anything she wasn’t meant to see. She took the pizza from him, her cheeks warming as she caught the glint of unspoken promise in his eyes.

Settling back, Mira took a sip of the soda Zamian handed her, focusing her attention on the cartoon playing on the screen. She and Zamian exchanged quiet smiles as Zami giggled endlessly at the characters’ silly antics. They might not fully understand the jokes, but their daughter’s laughter was enough to make the moment feel magical. The sound of her joy was contagious, filling the room with a warmth that softened the edges of the day, turning their living room into a haven of simple, precious family moments.

After what felt like an hour, Mira stretched her arms over her head, feeling the calm settle over her. Little Zami had fallen asleep, her head resting against the arm of the couch, with a few pieces of popcorn still clutched in her tiny hand. Mira gently took the popcorn bowl from her lap, setting it aside before any more pieces could spill. She glanced at her daughter’s peaceful expression, her heart swelling with an overwhelming love that only seemed to deepen with each passing day.

Zamian stood up as well, watching their daughter with a tender smile. The innocence on Zami’s face, the quiet rise and fall of her chest as she slept—it was a reminder of everything they’d built together, everything they cherished. Mira glanced at him, and their eyes met in a shared understanding. This was their family, their life, and it was moments like these that made all the sacrifices worthwhile.
