Chapter 116: A Night To Remember

Mira and little Zami stepped out of the room, both dressed in matching pajamas that Zamian had gifted them, looking adorable in soft pink. Zami’s hair was braided neatly on both sides, framing her face and giving her a sweet, playful look. Mira’s hair, on the other hand, was swept into a loose, messy bun, which added to her effortless beauty.

The two of them together were an absolute picture—charming, tender, and full of warmth. But little Zami, of course, was the cutest of the two. Mira’s presence, however, could not be overlooked.

She radiated a quiet, confident beauty, almost ethereal, as if she were a goddess who had just emerged from the sea, her bare feet touching the unknown shores of their cozy world.

As Mira and Zami entered the living room, both of their jaws dropped in surprise at the scene that greeted them. The room, normally familiar and casual, had been transformed into a cozy, inviting space. It was dimly lit, casting a warm, golden glow that made everything feel intimate and relaxed. The sofa, their usual seat, was gone. In its place was something more luxurious, softer, and more comfortable—perfect for a movie night. Plush seats surrounded the room, each draped with soft pink duvets, and in the center of the space was a table filled with snacks, as if Zamian had gone out of his way to anticipate their every desire.

At the center of the table was a large bowl of popcorn, surrounded by plates of chips, French fries, drinks, pizza, and several other treats Mira hadn’t expected. She could’ve sworn she had only ordered pizza, fries, drinks, and popcorn, but now there were so many other snacks she didn’t recognize. She wondered if Zamian had gone the extra mile just to surprise them.

On the television screen, a cartoon was paused, its colorful images frozen in place, as if waiting for everyone to settle in before starting. Mira was in awe. She hadn’t expected Zamian to plan all this. Somehow, he’d even anticipated that they would be watching something family-friendly for little Zami’s sake. A smile crept onto Mira’s lips as she looked around the room, feeling deeply touched by Zamian’s thoughtfulness.

For a brief moment, she felt an overwhelming urge to kiss him right there, to show her gratitude for all his efforts. But with Zami right there beside them, she knew it might not be the best idea. Besides, knowing Zamian, if she let it go too far, he’d probably try to take things further. And this night was supposed to be about family—about them being together in a peaceful, loving space.

Mira noticed a small, cozy seat placed right in front of the plush sofa—perfectly positioned for little Zami to enjoy her cartoon comfortably. The seat was exactly where Zami needed it to be, and yet Mira couldn’t help but wonder. Why would Zamian place a separate seat for their daughter so close to the TV, knowing she’d be absorbed in the show? Was it possible that he had other plans in mind? It almost seemed like he’d set up a perfect situation for little Zami to be entertained on her own, while Mira and he could enjoy their own little "movie night."

A warm blush crept across Mira’s cheeks at the thought. She knew her husband all too well. It was exactly the kind of thing Zamian would do—thoughtful, yes, but also mischievous. She couldn’t help but laugh at how well she knew him.

Mira and little Zami turned to see Zamian standing there, looking every bit the handsome, striking man that he was. He was dressed in blue pajamas, looking more like a MeTuber influencer in a cozy home vlog than anything else. Together, he and Mira looked like a couple with their little girl straight out of an influencer’s dream. It was the kind of moment that would likely have millions—no, billions—of subscribers if their lives were shared online. Mira couldn’t believe that she had once even thought of running away from this possessive, playful, yet deeply loving man who was all hers.

Zami squealed in delight and ran over to Zamian, throwing herself into his arms for a tight hug.

"Daddy, you look so cute!" she exclaimed, her tiny voice filled with joy. Mira couldn’t help but laugh, her soft, melodic laughter filling the room. The sound of it was like a gentle breeze that swirled around Zamian’s heart, making him feel like he could stay in this moment forever, savoring her laughter. He didn’t want it to end.
