Chapter 82: Mira’s fear
Mira’s eyes widened at Zamian’s words. She hadn’t expected him to say such cheesy things, especially not during work. Okay, now could someone explain to her where he had learned that? A smile crept onto Zamian’s lips as he realized he was finally getting the attention he craved.
"You shouldn’t be saying this here," Mira managed to say, surprise lacing her voice.
Zamian leaned in closer, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he asked, "Then where should I say it?" With that, he gave her ear a soft, low suck before teasingly biting it. The unexpected sensation sent shivers down her spine, and she couldn’t help but gasp.
Mira’s cheeks flushed a bright pink, and she turned to face him, her heart racing. He smirked, saying, "Now you fit perfectly with this pink desk."
"You... who taught you that?" Mira asked, her voice laced with a mix of curiosity and disbelief. She felt flustered but intrigued.
Zamian raised an eyebrow, a playful smile dancing on his lips. "Taught me what?"
Mira sighed, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "It seems you don’t want anything..... I’ll just continue my work now." She picked up a pen and pretended to jot down notes, hoping to focus on anything but his piercing gaze.
"But I already told you what I wanted." Zamian’s tone was teasing, yet there was a hint of sincerity behind his words. The duality in his voice left her breathless.
Mira stilled, caught off guard. Why was Zamian acting so differently? She did not hate it, but they were at work, for goodness’ sake. Just then, as someone knocked at the door, Zamian looked up, his attention diverted. The door slowly open, revealing a lady with wide eyes. She hadn’t expected to see a pink table—or anyone else, for that matter—in Zamian’s office. It was widely known that he despised interruptions while he was busy with work, making this scene all the more shocking.
