Serena Summers, Claire Lane, and one other person left together; she sent Lucas Shaw a message asking him not to pick her up that evening.
Once in the car, Claire started to gossip, "Serena, are you really married?"
"Yes." Serena leaned back in the backseat, her eyes slightly closed.
"So, all those rumors online are true? Were you really sold by your biological parents to be someone’s wife?" The speaker was one of Claire’s younger sisters, Sophia Forrest.
If Serena had any impression of Claire, she had none of Claire and Aurora Hamilton.
Yet, both of them were overly familiar, incessantly asking questions by her side.
Eventually, Serena grew impatient and shot them a cold glance, "If you’re so curious about other people’s business, why not become gossip journalists?"
Spooked by Serena’s icy gaze, the two shrank their necks and dared not speak anymore.
The car finally regained its quiet, and Claire, sitting in the passenger seat, stealthily glared at them both.
