Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 1459: Rivalry

Although Rain wanted to improve the technique further using the power of the aspects as well, and he still needed to finish researching the void path, he decided to help everyone learn the simpler versions of the Origin attacks. Once the first people learn that, they can take his place and teach the others, after all.

That kind of technique required a lot of focus, and the highest levels also consumed a bunch of mana, so trying to learn it with practice was extremely hard since people would only have a few attempts. Still, the early levels were quite easy to understand. So, it didn’t take long for people like Danny and Annie to learn... since they fought using their fists like Rain. The others had a bit of a harder time since they used weapons.

"Try to use the technique against each other; don’t try too hard, though, since you don’t want to knock each other down," Rain said. "The best way to mastery is practice."

"I might want to knock him down," Annie smirked.

"Me too," Danny shrugged. "For a woman, you are quite big, where you don’t need to be, after all."

"You asshole," Annie said. "Prepare for trouble."

Rain couldn’t help but feel a bit of concern as he observed the ongoing rivalry between Danny and Annie. While sibling rivalries were a natural and understandable part of growing up, there was always the risk that things could escalate beyond mere competition and turn into something more troublesome.

However, amidst his concerns, Rain also recognized the value of pushing their limits and fostering a spirit of healthy competition. He knew that challenging Danny and Annie to push themselves beyond their comfort zones was essential for their growth and development as warriors. After all, it was through adversity and competition that they would learn to hone their skills and reach new heights of proficiency.

But striking the right balance between encouragement and caution was key. He resolved to keep a close eye on their interactions, intervening if necessary to prevent any escalation of tensions.

Seeing those two attacking each other like that really made Rain understand for the first time how much important it would be to make everyone learn that kind of technique... they were only able to use it a few times before taking a break since their bones broke even though the charged attacks didn’t reach their full potential.

"Wow... this technique sure is something, and it can even be improved?" Danny asked while he was healing his bruised arms that looked like they had been bombarded by a machine gun of paintball.

"That is only the first level. It has four levels currently," Rain said. "On the third level, I obliterated my right arm to defeat Loks."
