The notification filled me with joy. I’d obtained good rewards. The Hobgoblin’s corpse still lay stretched on the ground. I thought "I don’t want to but I have to do it," then I approached the hobgoblin and with the steel sword I cut open its chest, where its heart should have been there was a green core.

Cores had always been handed over to the kingdom, but now I knew if I wanted to strengthen my guild I needed them. Furthermore, monsters would never reappear in this area, it had become a conquered zone. I could see on the map that this piece of land had been annexed to my clan, for some reason the entire path we had used to get here was now my territory.
I walked back down the path when I heard noises. My super sharp senses alerted me that something was very wrong. I took the [E] level bow, stopped, and stayed silent before materializing a lunar arrow and launching it with all my might towards the trees. A pained scream resonated and I ran to check what I had killed.
Arriving I saw two Sealakels pierced and pinned to a tree by my arrow. A few seconds later the arrow lost its presence vanishing into nothing and both beasts fell to the ground dead.
