Chapter 4: Unexpected Awakening
"Here’s the blanket. We also got some food and water for you and to have here in case our savior wakes up. Would you like us to cook it for you?"
Thank the heavens these three arrived, or I don’t know what else would be going through my head. Lira started covering the stranger with Leila’s help, making me feel like a sinner for the thoughts that were assaulting me.
"You did well, don’t worry about me. Go, eat, and rest. Your contribution will be remembered for saving this stranger who turned out to be our savior, so I’ll reward you later. For now, rest so you can take care of the village. I’ll stay here in case the stranger worsens and I need to act emergently."
"But Master, don’t you want us to help you take care of him? That way we can take turns at night and you won’t have to stay alone all night," Lira said.
