Chapter 18: The Feeling of Home
There really was a lot, with just three people in the entire house, including Sister Liu. Bai Yiran had made six dishes plus a soup.
"You made all of this?" Leng Yichen asked, a bit surprised.
Sister Liu came out carrying the soup, grinning, "Yes, Yiran made all of it, I just helped a little." After speaking, Sister Liu returned to the kitchen to get bowls and chopsticks.
"Yiran?" Leng Yichen’s eyebrows furrowed slightly upon hearing Sister Liu directly call Bai Yiran by her name.
Bai Yiran noticed Leng Yichen’s reaction and quickly explained, "Oh, I asked Sister Liu to call me that. I’m not used to her calling me ’madam.’"
Leng Yichen nodded but said nothing.
"Take off your coat, wash your hands, and let’s eat!"
"Alright!" Listening obediently, Leng Yichen took off his suit jacket, washed his hands in the first-floor restroom, and upon returning, found Bai Yiran had already served him rice.
"Come on! Sit down and try the dishes I made! Two of them I knew how to make before, but the remaining four I made for the first time today. Sister Liu and I spent the entire afternoon preparing them, and I don’t know what you’ll think."
