Chapter 34. Mana Circle
The instructor stared at Licht, momentarily stunned by the sudden intensity of his gaze.
Coughing, he straightened his suit and smoothed his expression, trying to recover his composure.
"Very well. But words have weight, Valtier. If you call it ignorance, prove otherwise."
"Fine."
Before the instructor could even respond, Licht raised both hands.
In his left palm, crackling violet lightning erupted, surging with raw power and at the same time, in his right hand, a shimmering with a sharp purple light reminscent of a beast’s fang flared to life, flowing in smooth, controlled pulses, as if his hand had become a conduit for pure motion itself.
Two completely different techniques had Manifested simultaneously.
A hush swept through the room. Students froze mid-movement. The sound of rustling sounds and whispers died instantly. All eyes locked onto Licht.
Even the instructor’s breath was caught in that moment. But eventually his eyes narrowed.
"Switching techniques that fast is impressive," he said after a pause, trying to reassert control. "But you’re not fooling anyone. Sleight of hand, perhaps. A trick of timing. You’re just alternating so quickly it looks simultaneous."
Licht didn’t say anymore. The two techniques didn’t flicker. He simply looked at the instructor, unimpressed.
