Despite the butterfly traveling in the direction of the city, perhaps Di Fuyi was not actually there. Perhaps it was just the general direction to find him.
Gu Xijiu was not sure if Di Fuyi was really in the city, so she could not use her teleportation to get ahead of the butterfly. Instead, she had to follow the path and pace of the slow-moving bloody butterfly.
It was already late into the night at this point; danger roamed in every corner of the forest. Many animals were running in the dark wilderness and could attack them at any time. Gu Xijiu felt that the wild animals were especially active and violent tonight. Their eyes were typically even bloodshot.
As expected, one by one, the ferocious beasts attacked them. Luckily, Gu Xijiu and Yun Yanli both possessed extraordinary Kung Fu, so they could keep themselves unharmed; however, their journey was unavoidably delayed.
Due to the numerous battles, Gu Xijiu got to witness the extent of Yun Yanli’s Kung Fu. He was great with his sword but was typically hesitant with his moves. He seemed quite reluctant to kill any of the beasts. He would only do so when his life was really at risk.
A cunning black python knew that it was no match to Yun Yanli, so it pretended to have fainted. When Yun Yanli went away and fought a black chimpanzee, it suddenly lunged toward him from the back. If Gu Xijiu had not noticed its mischief, Yun Yanli would have been bitten for sure.
