Chapter 175. One hit knockout
The first few matches were mid—I couldn’t care less who won or lost. Adrian still hadn’t shown up either. As the matches went on, it was finally Kira’s turn. He was up against another guy from our class—both D-ranks. But Kira had been training since childhood at Kumba village, and no doubt he still trains everyday even now, down to the bone. So, he didn’t even need to use magic. His magic, after all, was geomancy—a none combat skill.
The other guy started chanting his long-ass spell, but before he could finish, Kira dashed forward and began pummeling him.
"Oh, goddess. Grant me your—"
POW!
A punch to the mouth shut him up mid-chant.
The guy stumbled back, stars in his eyes, then crumpled like a puppet with cut strings.
"AND JUST LIKE THAT—KIRA STRIKES FIRST BLOOD!" the commentator bellowed. "An explosive opener! Julius didn’t even get to cast a spell!"
Kira wasn’t playing around. I knew he was trying to prove his strength to Lorraine—desperate to earn a place by her side. He didn’t let up. Blow after blow, he pounded Julius into the dirt until the referee threw in the towel.
Match over.
"Victory goes to Kira Ironfist!!!"
The arena erupted with cheers, and that’s when I heard a familiar voice cutting through the crowd.
