Chapter 128. It’s Draegonoth!!
After helping Adrian find his shoe, we returned to my town with the entire group.
Once we arrived, I headed straight to check on Anna while the others settled in the sitting room. She was still sleeping peacefully.
"Rose!!" I called out. A few minutes later, she appeared.
"Can you check up on my—"
Before I could finish, Rose suddenly jumped back and summoned her cursed whip, startling me.
"It’s him!!!" she shouted. "He needs to die!!"
She cracked the whip toward the bed, but I caught it just before it could strike Anna. I gripped it tightly, quickly enhancing my strength with my buff skill to match hers.
"What’s the meaning of this, Rose?!" I barked in frustration.
"That’s that bastard! I can smell his filthy scent!" she snarled, yanking the whip from my grip. Her face twisted with rage.
Even with my buffs enhanced, I couldn’t match the strength of an angry Rose. She overpowered me and snatched it back. Just as she raised her whip again attempting to attack, I boosted my speed stats to the max, grabbed Anna, and leaped out the window. Glass shattered around us as we landed on the pavement outside.
"Why are you protecting him, hubby?!" Rose yelled from the upper floor, glaring down at me. And l could sense the disbelief in her voice.
