Chapter 105: A moment of tranquility
In the arena, Jenna stood next to Elliot and looked at him. She seemed worried about him, so she stayed close.
Everyone gathered around him as well, waiting for the judges’ verdict, although they had nothing to say about the killing that had taken place.
Elliot was again awarded MVP, cementing his position as the likely winner. With three consecutive MVPs under his belt, virtually no one could take it away from him now, as only one fight was left.
The only way he could lose now was by dying.
The last match, the final, would take place the following day. It would be filled with a thirst for revenge, as Elliot and company would be looking for payback.
Steward went to find them in the arena. He did not go alone. He was accompanied by the 2nd Guild Master, Joferth, and others from the high command.
His idea was to protect them in case the Clark Group went crazy, which was unlikely, but not impossible.
They had nothing else to say. Elliot was affected by this, so he followed them closely.
Although they encountered members of the Clark Group carrying corpses along the way, they only earned a hateful look and nothing more.
Alexander realized that Angelic Wave already knew they would challenge them to a fight to the death, which is why they had moved so many personnel just for their protection. That prevented him from venting his anger.
He couldn’t even get close to that bastard with so many powerful bodyguards around him.
