Depraved Cultivation : Humanity’s Filth Reincarnated

Gaining A Lot

“Splendid! Trust me, you won’t regret it!”

Eltysia waved her hand, causing the skeleton manifested from five different species to become enveloped with her inner energy. She then cut into her thumb, causing some of her own blood to fly over the bones and seep into them. This was her way of adding a ‘blessing’ to it before sending it over to Anoteros.

The skeletal structure began to glow powerfully, phasing through the human noble’s clothes and skin, soon overlapping with his own skeleton…

For a few moments, nothing happened... Until suddenly, it felt as though all of Edrick’s bones shattered into pieces. His muscles instinctively flexed, forcing the pieces of bone to stay in place.

The osseous pieces were actively melding with the foreign bones, slowly mending and fusing themselves into a single skeletal structure…

Anoteros forcefully maintained himself in place during the entire process. He could feel everything happening in real time, starting from the top as his skull was the first thing to be put back together. It felt most bizarre as the shards pressed and moved directly against his brain–Momentarily making him blank out or go blind at times.

Nonetheless, he kept on maintaining his position…

When the final bone was fused and fully repaired, Anoteros was drenched in sweat... But a powerful, cooling sensation soon washed over him, easing his strained muscles. He wasn’t certain what exactly this had brought him for now, but he already felt stronger.

Eltysia sent her inner energy and blood into the crimson sphere containing five superior bloodlines, not wasting any time before sending it over to the scion as well. It did the same thing as the skeleton, glowing and phasing into his chest before taking effect… Unlike the skeleton, this immediately forced him to one knee as it felt like his heart was being actively torn apart from the inside out.

…And now is my time to shine!

The system had no physical body, but he would definitely be rubbing his hands together if he could. The five greater bloodlines had been fused together very well, and the additional blessing by Eltysia did smooth things over. However, it was rather obvious that she had no idea how such things truly worked. By her own admission, she had learned about the ways of cultivators by watching and listening to some of them over the course of her existence.

It was only natural that her understanding would be far from complete… Thus, while her method worked perfectly well for the ‘Bone Melding’, it fell completely flat for the bloodline integration. However, all was fine. The system was here to correct the course and make things work.

One of the problems was that the way the composite bloodline was injected led to it being filled with a whole bunch of impurities–Which was the easiest thing for the system to clear. Removing impurities was one of the basic things he did when creating his own things.

Next, he modified the way the bloodline spread through Edrick’s body to be much more digestible… He calibrated everything to simply be more efficient, ensuring that the composite bloodline would not just be integrated perfectly, but that it would also be elevated from what it currently was. How did he do this? By making sure the scion’s new skeleton and bloodline harmonised and interacted with one another directly.

He made sure that the marrow was pumped with the noble’s new blood.

Thanks to the system’s intervention, the entire process went as smoothly as it could possibly go. It did not eliminate any gut-wrenching pain at all. If anything, it made it worse, as the reconstruction was even more thorough and longer as a result, but what mattered was the end product.

Finally, Eltysia–Most pleased by how well everything had gone–Blessed the manual in the same manner, placing it in Edrick’s hand. Immediately, the system did his thing again, and the manual was perfected in the blink of an eye.

Now… The system wasn’t actually supposed to help Anoteros in this manner. When systems were created and assigned to a person, they usually had rather strict limitations on what they could do. However, he wasn’t just any system–He was a system assigned to a special individual, and was a sapient system as well. As such, he could somewhat play around the rules, since rather than strict laws embedded into his being, he answered to his mother: The Universal System.

Since he only had to explain himself to her, he could get away with doing something outside of what he was supposed to do because he had been doing his job very well so far. Basically, he was harnessing some goodwill, as well as the status of the person he was assigned to, to do something outside the rules.

…He definitely wouldn’t be able to pull a stunt like this for a while, though.

‘It felt like my nerves were being prickled by a thousand wasps… What is the good news, System?’

The news is excellent. Do take a look for yourself

There was a new category in the system panel, simply titled: ‘Bone Melding’.

Edrick had only heard of this practice in passing before. It was the act of replacing or absorbing the bones of another being to acquire greater strength, affinity, or even a special ability. It wasn’t the most widespread of methods to gain additional power, but it was fairly popular with cultivators.

Skeleton Of The True Champion Of Eltysia - Power Boost + Massive Boost When Within Eltysia

The description was rather simplistic compared to what Anoteros was used to–But simplicity wasn’t a downside. Edrick wasn’t yet feeling the full effects of it as he was still acclimating, but without a doubt, this bone melding was going to lead to his raw strength skyrocketing.

‘That’s a whole lot of text to read…’

Oh, we still have the cultivation technique

‘I feel like I won’t have time to read. It seems like Eltysia is going to start talking…’
