The retreat of the Galle Army signified the complete collapse of the United Army’s front, with the Galleians almost without warning turning to retreat, opening a huge gap in the defense line facing the Homer Army. If the Earth Dragon Battle Team had only torn some minor breaches in the United Army’s lines, then the retreat of the Galleians was undoubtedly the beginning of a dam bursting.

The newly formed Golden Oak Legion was unable to inherit its formerly excellent traditions. Lacking officers and veterans, this army collapsed the moment it saw the Galleians fleeing, which also swept the still stable Blue Dove Corps into the tide of escape.

Similarly, Shatima transforming into a dragon form would also bring significant harm to Shatima herself. Every transformation consumed a vast amount of Dragon Power, and unless absolutely necessary, Komer was unwilling to take this step.

Now none of this was needed. The retreat of the Thunderhorse Knights was like drawing the fire from under the cauldron, rendering the United Army’s attack abortive. The Homer Army had survived the most difficult moments at great cost, and now was the time to reap the rewards.
