Lome’s formidable Light magic power gave her no reason to refuse, while Mihailovich and Komer took up positions beside Newman, with Rebry taking up the rear.

As they delved step by step deeper underground, the yin energy grew thicker, and the group could already feel the heavy yin energy affecting their bodies. They first needed to constantly cast minor spells to ease their somewhat stiffened bodies, and the Knights continuously activated their internal Fighting Qi to resist the Yin energy and prevent it from causing harm. The spiral-shaped passage twisted downward, and by Newman’s calculations, they had descended at least three floors before the slope of the passage finally leveled out again.

When a faint blue light was cast from the dark depths ahead, everyone realized that they were likely approaching another threshold.

At the end of the arc-shaped passage was a door built from unknown materials. The blue light emanated from above the door frame, and the skilled appraiser Rebry immediately recognized it as a very rare Magic Stone—Linlang, also an invaluable rarity for crafting Light Series Magic.

Linlang itself could absorb luminous flames and, once it reaches a certain threshold, release them. The quality varied based on the length of time and power of light it absorbed, but regardless of the degree, as long as it could release luminous flames, it was incredibly precious.

By Rebry’s observation, this particular piece of Linlang could be considered high-grade among such Magic Stones. Using it merely for entrance lighting was almost like casting pearls before swine.
