Chapter 431: Volume Nine: The Phantom of the Ancient Castle, - Two: The Secret Door Opens
At this time, the mages who had already noticed the formidable strength of the two skeleton dragons also realized the severity of the problem. If they didn’t join forces, it was feared that these two one-spiked flying dragons would bring unexpected harm to this group of people.
A series of Gravity Spells and Dark Bindings were almost simultaneously incanted by the Mysterious Mage and Mihailovich. The Puppet Mage, who seldom resorted to his Magic Wand, held it high in the air at the first opportunity, and two Skeleton Giant Demons stepped out amongst countless clouds of black mist. Their massive Dark Scythes glimmered with a ghostly light, and at the command of the Puppet Mage’s hand gestures, the Skeleton Giant Demons, not far from the top of the Passage, roared and swung their colossal scythes in a frenzy targeting the other dodging skeleton dragon.
The skeleton dragon let out a furious roar, the dual pressures from light and darkness causing it for a moment to seemingly lose the ability to drift freely. The immense binding force locked it firmly in that patch of space, as it watched the Dark Knight’s Knight Spear draw clouds of darkness rushing towards it, the enraged one-spiked flying dragon had no choice but to fiercely raise its sturdy tail whip to meet the attack head-on.
With a sonorous "clang," a clear and resonant collision sounded, one could even see with the naked eye the strange, twisting ripples in the space where sparks flew, slowly spreading outward. The tremendous vibration of the force field caused cracks in the space itself, and Vladimir Koff was nearly unable to grip the Knight Spear steadily from the impact of the tail whip sweep, almost letting it fly out of his hand. A sense of oppression in his chest and abdomen gave the Dark Knight a feeling of injury that he hadn’t experienced in a long time, and the burning pain in the base of his thumb proved that he not only had internal injuries but also external ones.
The one-spiked flying dragon was no better off: a full-force strike from the Dark Knight was not something easily taken by just anyone, especially after having its powers greatly restricted by the enemy Mage’s continuous release of multiple spells. The Knight Spear’s vigorous strike almost shattered its indestructible Black Bone Whip, and its staggering in the air like a drunkard made it evident that it too had been severely struck.
Beating someone when they’re down was always Komer’s forte. As the Mysterious Mage and the Puppet Mage continuously cast spells to constrain the enemy’s power, Komer was also preparing his Magic Power without missing the opportunity. After the Dark Knight landed a forceful blow, Komer, with spirits high, advanced.
Facing the ferocious and terrifying one-spiked flying skeleton dragon alone, the sly smirk that spread across his lips would have made even the skeleton tremble, "Serpent Dance of the Nine Netherworlds, my heart remains steadfast, Fire Phantom, without distinction of order! Transform!"
