Chapter 496 Trapped
Lu Yi was terrified, standing frozen like a block of wood, his eyes vacant as he stared at the window, unable to snap out of his daze after someone had jumped out from their room.
"Lu Yi." Seeing that Lu Yi remained in shock, Shen Heyu reached out to pull him, but this only caused Lu Yi to stagger as if he were about to fall.
Lu Yi snapped out of it, gripping Shen Heyu’s wrist tightly, desperately seeking help, "Heyu, what should we do now? Someone’s died."

"We should call the police," Shen Heyu looked into Lu Yi’s eyes, telling him that someone downstairs had already called the police, and that cooperating with the police investigation was their best option now.
"No, we absolutely cannot call the police," Lu Yi instantly rejected Shen Heyu’s suggestion, gradually loosening his grip on her wrist.
"Lu Yi, calling the police is the wisest choice right now, especially since the police might arrive at any moment. Let’s not avoid dealing with this, okay?" Shen Heyu earnestly looked into Lu Yi’s eyes.
But Lu Yi was resistant and avoided eye contact with Shen Heyu. He turned away, noticing Chen Wenzhou, who had been silently standing by the whole time. As the instigator of this incident, Chen had to take responsibility.
"Heyu, this is my issue, it has nothing to do with you. Please leave. Don’t worry, I will handle it," Shen Heyu had been there the whole time, preventing Lu Yi from being upfront with Chen Wenzhou.
"How do you plan to handle this? Just let me know, so I have an idea," Shen Heyu pressed, not pushing Lu Yi for an immediate explanation, just concerned that he might avoid responsibility due to his initial shock.
