Chapter 5: Are You Ready?
A middle-aged man with short brown hair stands before Noah, wearing black-framed glasses. Noah had never met this man before.
Based on his well-fitted black suit, Noah guessed he was someone from the hotel management.
Noah waited patiently for the man to introduce himself, but he merely stared at him indifferently.
This reaction was all too typical for Noah, as he frequently encountered such treatment from those who viewed him as poor and a waste of their time.
"Are you looking for me?" Noah asked.
The man seemed to flinch upon hearing Noah's voice. He quickly extended his hand to Noah for a warm handshake.
A warm smile lit up his face as he spoke in a rough but cheerful tone, "Mr. Morgan, let me introduce myself. I am William Wood, the CEO of The Royal Phoenix Hotel, Opal City branch..."
Although reluctant, Noah accepted his handshake but said nothing. He instead stared at him as if asking, "What do you want? Speak now or leave me alone!"
Noah desperately wanted to rest. He hadn't slept or eaten all night, and now he feared his knee might give out and his eyes would automatically shut.
William Wood quickly clarified after seeing the unhappy gaze of the man in front of him, "Mr. Morgan, I apologize for bothering you. I heard you just checked in and came to greet you in person."
'Wait, this man recognizes me as the owner. Is that why he rushed over to meet me? How is that possible?' This confused him.
