Chapter 12: Gaining New Family Members
After instructing her husband, Leng Pan walked to the place she had parked the Hummer and drove away.
She spent that afternoon buying different supplies and went to pick up some of the food she had ordered from various restaurants before driving back to her parents’ villa.
The water tanks were almost full when she got there and she decided to arrange the supplies that had been delivered in her space before shutting off the water valves.
To avoid suspicion, she had the delivery men strictly follow the schedule she had given as each of them had a specific time to deliver goods.
In doing that, the delivery men never met each other and by the time one delivered their goods, those brought by the people before would have been stored in space.
This method was not completely foolproof but Leng Pan didn’t have enough time to rent a warehouse and move between shops, factories, and the warehouse to collect supplies.
Her only assurance is that by the time someone starts to suspect something, the apocalypse would’ve started and no one would know her or where she was. After all, she wasn’t going to be living in the villa.
Before leaving, she turned off the water as the water tanks were already full and placed them in the space.
Now she had enough water to use for at least one lifetime. Since she had also bought thousands of gallons of purified drinking water, she didn’t have to worry.
