Chapter 521: A Professor
The next morning Cali could not even dare to look Rui straight in the eye after that passionate and intimate dream with the man whose voice was like his. Though she did not even know who the man was but for some reason she felt shy and was almost blushing when she saw her handsome doctor bringing breakfast for her on the table.
She was so quiet during breakfast that Rui started suspecting that something was wrong. He felt it strange, when Cali was quiet all throughout the way to school and even didn’t look into his eyes even once since morning. When they arrived at the school, she quickly picked her bag up and opened the door to her side.
"I’ll go first." Cali whispered but Rui held her arm and stopped her from going out of the car. Cali’s nerves suddenly jolted by his touch and she silently wished she could run away from him as soon as possible.
"Wait. Are you alright?" He asked.
Cali gave him a half smile and said, "Yeah I’m good."
Rui was doubtful by the way she answered but nodded. Cali already left to go inside the building while he still remained seated inside the car.
Yesterday, he seemed to successfully convince Cali about him having a disorder and getting uncomfortable around a crowd. But what bothered him now was how he would possibly fence Cali from those boys lingering around her, buzzing around her like bees, that Edward for example.
He was thinking of ways how he and Cali could be considered in a relationship by other people without her getting pissed off.
"Maybe I should tell her that dad wants to set me up for an arranged marriage but I don’t want to get married right now, then I’ll ask Cali for help and ask her to pretend as my girlfriend." He whispered but dropped his shoulders because it was unnecessary to pretend inside the school when he had no family inside.
