Chapter 449: Actions Are Not Enough
At Yang Globals hospital
"How come you’re always sticking with Cali? Don’t you have any work at all?" Kane scowled, squinting his eyes on Rui who was preparing his meal instead of Cali who was playing games on her mobile phone.
"Cali prefers that we both always be together, so I can’t help it out. Just eat your lunch Kane because we have to leave soon to pick up your sister and brother-in-law at the airport. Stop crumpling your face or else your bruises won’t heal fast and may even leave a scar there," Rui commented with a smile.
Lately, he started finding Kane’s childishness amusing, maybe because he was too confident now about Cali’s love for him that he felt Kane would never be a hindrance between them unlike before. Yet he still refused to trust Kane to be left alone with Cali for some unknown reasons.
He shook his head because he was becoming more possessive for Cali so the unknown reasons he first thought were invalid.
Kane looked at Cali then confidently whispered, "Do you really think I will give up on Cali that easily? Wait until I confess to her about what I feel and I’m sure she will know my worth."
"When do you plan to confess? Tell me and I’ll arrange the schedule of Cali to be alone with you for a while..." Rui nonchalantly commented, making sure Kane’s nostrils were flaring in frustration.
"Let’s go Rui?" The two men heard Cali speak and saw her walk towards them so both of them suddenly started behaving well. They already had received an ultimatum from Cali if she happened to witness them arguing on petty things they would both be punished, so both were giving each other poker faces if Cali was looking at them.
"Cali, can you let only Rui to go pick up sis, all by himself? I don’t have anyone with me right now. I’m not comfortable with the nurses feeding me hurriedly." Kane commented with a downcasted tone.
Rui wanted to poke Kane’s eyes that he used to stare at his woman, at that moment.
"Alright, then I’ll stay. Anyway, I feel tired too. Is it okay if you go on your own? I don’t know why, but Shane requested you to pick them up. She insisted that you should personally see them at the airport. I think she needs some favor from you," Cali commented.
