Both felt the same way, especially Shane, so she nuzzled Josh to see his face and confirmed what she just heard.
"What did you say?" Shane asked, blinking several times. She was serious while saying those words at him, but hearing his reply in the same serious tone caught her off guard. It was unexpected.
’Did Josh say I love you too?’ she mused. She heard the words correctly, right? She saw Josh roguishly grinned.
Afraid that she was only hallucinating, Shane asked again, "What did you just say?"
Josh had a smile that reached his eyes while his stare at Shane penetrated deep within her bones.
"I was planning to make it a romantic confession, a day to remember forever, to tell you how I felt for you, but you suddenly blasted those words on me such that I couldn’t help but answer you right away." Josh stated before cupping Shane’s face and declaring to her, "Mrs. Shane Lim... I love you... I love you... I love you... I love you..."
"I hope I have said it enough times for you to hear it?" Josh uttered. Shane nodded and abruptly kissed Josh, leaving him no room for air to gasp.
"Who said I need a romantic set-up for your confession? Just hearing those words coming from your heart and on your lips is more than enough," Shane mumbled between her kisses.
She felt she was at cloud nine and everything in her surroundings were covered in bright light brought about by a blast of fireworks everywhere. She was too grateful and blissful at that moment.
Nothing was more rejoiceful than a love that was reciprocated. She did not end up having the unrequited love she once thought she would end up with, but her love was reciprocated!
