Chapter 445: Thin Strands*

Cali had received an acceptance email awhile ago. After the accident, she had become too enthusiastic with cooking and had applied at one of the best and top culinary art schools in the world. She was so happy and jumped out on him in their room awhile ago telling him of her dreams.
The school was in country A and it was far from their country V. Rui heaved a deep sigh because it only meant that he and Cali would soon have a long distance relationship. He could still see the excitement on her face... So Rui decided to hold his intention to propose marriage to her as of now.
She was too excited and passionate about her going... If his estimate was correct, that would take at least two years? Not bad since they had already agreed to wait for three years before having the marriage ceremony in front of their families. A long engagement indeed.
Rui lay down beside her on the bed and wrapped his arms on Cali’s waist while he buried his face in the crook of her neck.
"Sweetheart... I will support you in whatever it is that you want to achieve." he whispered before planting soft and sweet little kisses on Cali’s face then lips.
Cali moved then slowly opened up her eyes. A beautiful smile carved on her lips as she said, "Why are you still awake?"
"I sent Xander off." Rui answered with a smile.
"Go back to sleep. Tomorrow, we’ll have a tour on the island with Dion and Rizie." He added while the back of his caress her cheek.
Cali nodded. But before closing her eyes, she moved her face closer and kissed Rui’s lips.
She missed his lips. Rui would often kiss her forehead before going to sleep these days like a toddler. So she took this opportunity to boldly kiss him. Later, she would just say she thought she was dreaming to save her face in case Rui would tease him.
