Chapter 234: Tackled
Jules’ pov
My heart was pounding in my chest as I approached Taylor’s room. His room was on the same floor as mine and I’ve hung out with him and Josh in there a few times. I stopped in front of the door and knocked on it, ignoring the gazes I was getting from omegas who were walking past. I was attracting more attention than I did after I got after getting mated with Blaze, and that was because of Nick’s death. I have avoided thinking about that death for hours now and I shoved that thought away and knocked again.
The door opened after a few more minutes and Taylor’s roommate stood in the doorway, eying me curiously as he called out Taylor’s name to come meet his friend. His roommate asked if we wanted to come in but I declined, offering to wait out here instead. His roommate shrugged and walked back in, leaving the door open.
I exchanged a look with Elio and briefly wondered if he was supposed to be here for the conversation I’m about to have with Taylor. It’s something personal, after all.
I chewed on my bottom lip for a moment before suggesting he go wait for me back in his room because I didn’t think Taylor would be comfortable having this conversation with him present.
Before he could even respond, Taylor approached, a blank expression across his face. On stopping at the doorway, he folded his arms and pursed his lips, gaze darting between Elio and I.
"If this isn’t my ex-friend and my other friend who stole him from me." He drawled, eyes lingering on Elio and I rolled my eyes, already feeling exasperated and this conversation wasn’t even started yet.
"Taylor, please." I breathed out on a long sigh and he let out a scoff.
Elio remained silent and Taylor raked as our eyes locked again.
"So... why are you two here?" He asked and I blew out another sigh, preparing myself from the argument which is sure to follow.
"I’m here to ask you what you want from me." I responded and after a few moments, he laughed.
