Chapter 233: Catastrophe
Jules’ pov
The entire school was turned upside down. Police cars filled the school and the entire students were sent back to their dorms shortly after Malachi’s body was discovered.
I felt chills roll down my spine at the realization that he was indeed dead. I had expected to hear the news of his passing any moment since Blaze had promised me he was gonna do it after I asked him to, but it was still jarring to find out that he was actually dead.
I searched for mind for regret or compassion, but I found nothing. All I could feel was relief that he was finally dead and that now at least the person responsible for Nick’s death is also dead instead of still remaining alive and unpunished. When we held a candle night for Nick in the preys dorm, all the omegas had felt remorseful for judging him without actually knowing him and most of them ended the night with tears in their eyes.
Malachi’s death shook everywhere up, not just because he was a prince, but because he was a pro swimmer. He has a bunch of medals from swimming, so it was clear to anyone with a brain that he was murdered. The cameras in the swimming area were also wiped clean, there was nothing to be traced and nothing anyone could work with.
I was currently in Elio’s room because Blaze went to take care of something and I didn’t want to be alone in his large apartment. All my things had officially been moved into Blaze’s apartment so I didn’t have a room here in the preys’ dormitory any longer.
"So many deaths back to back." Elio muttered as he flopped on his bed and I couldn’t agree more. Although, this particular death happened because I asked for it.
I didn’t tell Kim I asked Blaze to kill Malachi, not because I do not trust him. I’ve spent a lot of time with him since we all returned back to school and I definitely do understand and trust him way more than I previously did, but I still felt like it was rational if I kept that away from him, and I did just that.
I knew he was currently celebrating Malachi’s death wherever he was. He had apparently hated Malachi for a long while because Malachi had ruined the life of a bunch of omegas, so this wasn’t a first time experience.
