Chapter 230: The Unfortunate Demise
Jules’ pov
I let out an ear splitting scream as I stumbled away from the bed, heart pounding harshly against my chest as I stared at the lifeless body in the bed.
Tears poured down my face as I moved my trembling hands across my gaping mouth. I couldn’t believe my eyes, I couldn’t believe what I was currently witnessing right now.
How could he be dead? Who killed him?
The scream I let out this time was muffled in my shaking hands and with stumbling breaths, I moved closer to the bed, my entire limbs trembling as I stopped beside the bed to stare down at him. His eyes were still wide open and more tears rolled down my eyes as I fell to my knees beside the bed.
As I reached out and closed his eyes, tears silently poured down my face. His face was cold underneath my hand and I couldn’t even tell how long he had been dead.
I pulled my hands away after that, not wanting to mess up the chance of the killer getting found by leaving my fingerprints on his body.
From the looks of it, he was clearly murdered, and I didn’t know who could be behind it. My mind instantly travelled to Andrian and I wondered if he was the one behind it.
I gripped my hair tightly as I turned away from the bed, guilt slamming into my chest at a full force, one which made my legs give out from my body.
My hands shook as I struggled to get a hold on my phone, connecting the call with Andrian was another struggle entirely. I finally succeeded in doing that and even though I tried to stop my tears, it just kept flowing.
Andrian answered on the first ring, his familiar voice making my skin start to crawl with disgust.
