Chapter 229: Unexpected
Jules’ pov
"You didn’t have to do any of that." I mumbled underneath my breath, biting on my bottom lip as I dabbed at the bruises scattered around his knuckles. Blaze only snorted while his other fingers combed through my hair.
I was currently sitting on the counter in the restroom, and Blaze was standing between my legs while I clean up his wound. I didn’t like that he was unnecessarily hurt right now when he could have easily avoided the fight, although I knew he only did it because of me, and that made me feel guilty.
If I wasn’t in his life, his life would be peaceful with no drama coming up every few days like if has always been doing since I appeared in his life. I’ve never mentioned this before because I knew he was gonna instantly object and assure me that it wasn’t the case at all, but I had a functioning brain so I knew it was most definitely the case.
"I was angry before head, that fight helped me release some much needed steam." He admitted with a lazy grin tugging at the side of his lips and I rolled my eyes a little as I poured some antiseptic over his knuckles. He didn’t even make a sound even though it was definitely stinging.
"You alright?" He asked after a few moments, tilting my head up with a finger underneath my chin. I swallowed emptily and nodded. My entire inside was plundered in deep thoughts, but since he arrived, that frightened feeling had drastically reduced, because I was certain that nothing could go wrong with him present.
I wasn’t sure of how I’d ever face my classmates after today. Now, they must have added two and two togr. They’d all definitely start to suspect that I’m hiding something, thanks to what Kai said in class, along with Taylor who stoked the fire. I legit couldn’t believe that Taylor could do that, I never knew he actually disliked or hated me. This is a shocking discovery.
"Kai and Xander are definitely gonna join forces after today since you beat the two of them up today. Kai would probably tell Xander my secret now, and Xander would spread it everywhere, then the people who has been looking for me this whole time would finally come for me, then id be captured, and then..."
I didn’t realize my hands had began to shake until Blaze grasped my hands in his and held unto them firmly.
"Take a deep breath, bunny."
I did as ordered, the breath filling up my lungs before I exhaled it. He massaged my hands with his thumb as he ordered me to repeat that a few more times.
