Chapter 224: Soft Soft Soft
Jules’s pov
"Will you protect him? It’s my fault his life is in danger." I mumbled, biting at the inside of my cheek as I stared at Blaze. I had just finished narrating the entire I experienced in the principal’s office with Andrian.
Blaze picked me up from Kim’s apartment a while ago, appearing like he had a lot of things on his mind. Not wanting to push him, I refrained from prodding or telling about what Landon pulled on me. Before we stepped into his apartment, he put in my thumbprint into the touchpad over the door so I’d be able to enter his apartment and leave it wherever I wanted. He also informed me that my dorm was gonna be cleared out, and that my things would br moved over to his apartment before the end of today.
I had just finished telling him about how Elio was in danger because of me. I was so worried about him, if anything ends up happening to him because of him, I was sure I’d never be able to forgive myself. He keeps to himself, studies hard and records his little videos online. He doesn’t deserve to his his dreams ruined because he was starting to get close to me.
When I asked Kim for advice, at first, he had suggested I let him die, then he told me he was joking before suggesting I do my best to keep him protected if I have the power to. I didn’t have the power to, not on my own at least.
"I can ask someone to keep an eye on him." He finally responded and I felt a long sigh ease out of me. I was currently straddling his laps, and his arms were loosely wrapped around my waist.
We were currently in his large bed, with him resting against the headboard. He had a loose shirt on and sweatpants after showering, but I was yet to shower because he had refused to let me be away from his sight since he returned.
"But... I need you to keep in mind that you won’t be able to save everyone. Some people would die, some definitely won’t be able to make it. No mattter how hard you try, saving everyone can only be a wish. Keep this in mind so you don’t end up beating yourself up unnecessarily incase anything happens. Okay?" As he spoke, my eyes widened at the severity of his words and I felt my heartbeat accelerate a little.
I breathed out a small sigh before speaking. "I- I know this though... but I still don’t want Elio to get hurt, you know?"
He chuckled a little before humming, and then he was tugging me into a hug, burying his face in my neck and nuzzling the mate mark. I shivered as I clasped my arms around his shoulders and let my eyes slide close.
His arms tightened around my waist and he let out a low sound which almost resembled a growl, making my heart jump a little. I slowly slid my hands into his hair, carefully massaging his scalp.
