Kim ignored my question and remained in the same spot as the elevator door slid close.

My mind traveled to the last elevator ride I shared with Kim and Xander, and I realized that I should have figured this out sooner.

"Won’t you type in the code?" Kim asked and my gaze darted towards him. He nodded at the touch screen pad waiting to be imputed with a certain floor number. Kim could probably tell that I was confused.

"Put in the code that would take you to Blaze’s floor. That’s the floor you’re going to, no? That floor needs a code since it solely belongs to Blaze." He explained and I let out an understanding sound.

I didn’t know the code because I never bothered to focus on it whenever I was in an elevator with Blaze, which was solely his fault because he was always distracting me with kisses every time.

After I told Kim I didn’t know the code, he let out an exasperated sigh and I scowled at him.

"You can just be on your way, you don’t have to look out for me. I’ll head back to my friend’s or something." I tell him, tone defensive but he only rolled his eyes before imputing the third floor into the touch pad.

Once the elevator stopped, he stepped out and turned around to give me a long look. "Well, what are you waiting for? Cmon out."

"Why?" I inquired in confusion.

"Because you’d just wait in my apartment until Blaze comes back. That’s better than you returning back to the dorms. And about what you previously said, I do have to look out for you, Blaze’s orders." On getting to the last part, his expression soured and I winced a little as I stepped out of the elevator.
