Chapter 198: Claimed
Jules’ pov
Blaze refers to me as his mate frequently, and it always manages to make me feel flustered. However this time, knowing that we were now mated, made every feeling of within my body to feel extremely heightened.
His eyes were boring into mine and I was finding it hard to breathe properly the more I remained trapped underneath his body. I exhaled slowly and tilted my head sideways and exposing the side of my throat to his hungry gaze, my teeth catching on my bottom lip as my heartbeat quickened.
He was silent for long seconds but I could feel his eyes zeroed in on the mark which was throbbing and feeling prickly right now. When his fingers tangled in my hair and tugged my head sideways even more, a whimper bubbled in my throat, stomach filling up with heat at once.
The tip of his nose grazed my ear, grazing the edge of my lobe and the spot behind my ear that had my eyes fluttering a little. He sucked an audible breath in as his nose trailed down the side of my throat. My breath hitched in my throat when his breath fanned across the mark which felt like it was being charged. His nose grazed over the mark featherlightly and a gasp spilled past my throat at the amount of shivers that rolled down my spine.
"You smell like mine." His voice was thick and heavy with emotions as he spoke, sound rumbling against my skin and I gasped, heartbeat accelerating again. I tighten my hold in the sheets and blinked at the roof.
"Now you’re mated to me, officially... which means you’ll always have my scent on you wherever you go. Scent blockers wouldn’t be able to mute my scent on you ever again." As he spoke, his lips lightly grazed across the mark and I panted, arching off the bed a little as a rush of heat began to flow through my insides.
"Anyone who comes to you would be able to tell that you’re now mated to me, you won’t be able to hide it. As we return back to school, we’re returning as mates, and you’d always be under my care. As your mate, I’d always protect you and keep you safe no matter what. No one would be able to mess with you in school this time as soon as they get a whiff of my scent on you."
His hold in my hair tightened a fraction and I gasped as he slid his tongue across the mark, making me let out a stuttered gasp as I arched off the bed while my eyes fluttered close. As soon as his tongue made contact with the mark, it was like it got charged with sharp currents, sending a sizzling spark through it, which rushed through my entire body.
"Do you like that? Knowing everyone would be aware of whom you belong to once we’re back in school?" He asked as he kissed against my collarbone and I panted as I struggled to focus on his question.
Of course I loved it. There’s nothing I’d like more than that. The only reason why I wore scent blockers sometimes whenever I had his scent on, was because it attracted me a lot of attention and I always like avoiding attention as best as I could.
But now, I know that on returning back to Carnivals after being mated to him, I wouldn’t have to worry about people messing with me. I know that the attention I’d be attracting to myself would be tenfolds, but that’s a compromise I’m willing to accept, especially since I know that can’t be avoided any longer. After the amount of times Blaze and I have made public appearances throughout the past weeks, I was gonna be the center of attention on returning back to school, mated to Blaze or not.
