“Your Highness, what are you talking about all of a sudden?”
“Just what I said! Please, help me!”
“That’s a bit sudden... I don’t really know how to respond to that...”
After all that rush, flying through the capital under heavy escort, I now stood blocked in the road—not by a bandit or stubborn gatekeeper, but by the Crown Prince himself. I gave a sidelong glance at the knight captain beside me with an awkward expression.
“Hrm.”
Unfortunately, since the one standing in our way was the first in line to the throne, the captain simply cleared his throat and turned his head away.
“I beg you! You’re the only one who can resolve this situation!”
“...Haha...”
“If you help me this time, I’ll remember it for the rest of my life and reward you. I swear it on my name—Kendrick Winter Clouds!”
And just like that, I, who had suddenly been seized by the prince, watched as he finally introduced himself—despite spending all of yesterday acting overly familiar. With a barely maintained smile, I opened my mouth.
