Chapter 19: Misunderstanding
Just as Meredia was climbing into the carriage, still wearing a dumbfounded expression, she drew the stares of the entire 1st Knight Division.
“Uwaaah. H-He’s really going with them....”
Sasha, who had been shoved into the room where Hestia was staying, stood at the window on tiptoe, peeking out at Whitney being escorted by the knights. Her voice was trembling with fear.
“H-He’s not being arrested, right? Right? He can’t be....”
“Don’t worry about that. I’ve been with him ever since he was ‘kidnapped,’ and I didn’t notice any signs of him being exposed by anyone.”
“W-What the hell are you people even doing!?”
Lunelle, standing beside Sasha with a dazed look on her face, tried to calm her down with a composed tone. But Sasha, already on edge, shrieked and shot back.
“To summarize, we ruined the crown prince’s engagement and kidnapped the fiancée.”
“Wait, but why...?”
“Why would you question what Master is doing?”
But when Lunelle tilted her head and responded with a genuinely puzzled face, Sasha blanked for a second, then clutched her head and began muttering with a tearful expression.
“W-What are we supposed to do now...”
