A month passed.
Time really flew by.
“How did I end up staying for a whole month?”
Originally, I never planned to stay this long.
The kids were so persistent that after a week passed and Red still hadn’t shown up, I was planning to head back to the base.
But after another week with no sign of her, I tried to leave for the base, but then...
The kids grabbed the hem of my clothes. They looked at me with very sad eyes.
Even though I could have shaken off their hands and continued on my way, the image of the cold air swirling and the lonely sight of the base interior suddenly crossed my mind.
Thinking about being alone there again, I couldn’t seem to move my feet.
