Chapter 51: What’s Under The Blanket?
Kotori happily hummed as she walked down the corridor of their house, her white ribbons swaying gently with each step, a clear sign she was in her Imouto Mode. Her school uniform was crisp and neat, her steps light and brimming with energy.
She was making her way toward Shido's room to wake him up. It had been quite a while since she'd last done this, and she couldn't contain the excitement bubbling inside her.
Meanwhile, Reine had volunteered to wake Tohka, leaving Kotori free to handle her older brother. Kotori's mood was positively radiant as she reached Shido's door. Without any hesitation, she pushed it open, not bothering to knock as such formalities didn't apply to her, especially in Imouto Mode.
"Onii-chan! Wakey, wakey!" Kotori's cheerful voice rang out as she stepped into the room.
Her smile was dazzling as she looked at her sleeping brother.
"Onii-chan better be grateful I'm going to all this trouble just to wake you up," she mused silently, her lips curling into a playful smirk.
However, as she took a few steps closer, something peculiar caught her attention. Shido's blanket wasn't lying flat as it normally did. Instead, there was a noticeable bulge, as if... something big was under it.
Kotori froze, her cheerful mood faltering slightly as her curiosity piqued. Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly as a glint of suspicion sparking in them. "What's this?" she muttered, stepping closer to the bed.
She leaned her body over while her small hands reached cautiously toward the edge of the blanket. Whatever it was, she was going to find out. "Don't tell me..." she murmured, her face a mix of curiosity, mischief, and a hint of shock.
Kotori gulped softly, gripping the blanket tighter as she readied herself to pull it back. What could Shido possibly be hiding?
As Kotori pulled the blanket back, her face suddenly turned bright red, the color rushing to her cheeks in an instant. She felt her face burning with embarrassment as her wide, disbelieving eyes took in the scene underneath the blanket.
