I Can Contract Beauties

Two sharpened spider legs came crashing towards Edith at breakneck speed.

Edith did not panic and merely swatted the first spider legs that she blocked earlier.

With fluid movement and exquisite control of her body, Edith twisted her waist in a smooth angle and easily evaded the two sharpened legs with minimal movement.

Her foot then pivoted forward as she went underneath the enormous spider and slashed its abdomen once more.

The previously dimly lit enormous space was now filled with an orange and fiery hue.

Aaliyah launched fire balls and fire arrows of varying sizes one after the other everywhere where there were Demonized Beasts, incinerating those that were hit by her attacks.

Edith, who had now slashed the enormous spider elegantly all by herself had now slowly moved towards the center where the demon heart lies, creating a path as Aaliyah moved and attacked the demonized beasts that had escaped Edith’s sword right behind her.

Miguel constantly shifted everywhere, sometimes in the ground, sometimes in the shadows, and sometimes in the body of the demonized beasts that were burning with Aaliyah’s fire.

More and more demonized beasts came swarming towards the two summon, but they were unfazed as slowly but surely, they began to move towards the center while killing the demonized beasts on their path.

Not all of the demonized beasts were as strong as the enormous spider. Most of them were just high level Normal and Bronze grade beasts, allowing Aaliyah and Edith to deal with them easily. Even Miguel himself would emerge out of nowhere and kill a weak demonized beast before going back to hide.

Aaliyah and Edith were doing a straightforward approach and blistered their way to the center because they were strong enough to do so, while Miguel did a guerilla tactic because he would become a liability if he insisted on fighting the dozens of demonized beasts everywhere.

Corpses of demonized beasts piled up as more and more attacked Aaliyah and Edith who were at the forefront.

However, even though they had already killed a lot, demonized beasts still kept on coming from everywhere, as though there was no end to them.

Due to their massive numbers, no matter how strong Aaliyah and Edith was, they were still not invincible enough to defeat all the demonized beasts themselves without attaining any injuries. Even if they could dodge one, another would just popup in another direction to attack them.

Their stamina and strength were also not endless. Sooner or later, they would drop to the ground in exhaustion.

As a Level 2 Gold Grade, Aaliyah’s state was much better compared to Edith who was now riddled with wounds and bite marks all over her body. Her ordinary clothes were slowly getting ripped apart, revealing her smooth skin beneath as she fought fiercely and slashed with the Volcanic Wyrm Sword.

The Volcanic Wyrm Sword now also has cracks on its edge, testament to the bitter battle it was part of. Most of the cracks though were created from her fight with the sharpened spider legs earlier as well as from the mandible of the weaver ant that almost landed on them earlier.

The Volcanic Wyrm Sword was just made of Silver Grade horn after all. Its durability would slowly chip away if used constantly, especially if the objects it hit with were equally strong.

Edith’s breathing began to become rough. It was clear that she was getting exhausted as she was now full of sweat as she danced elegantly in the battlefield with her killing.

However, instead of becoming weak, her movements became even more fluid and lethal, killing some Silver Grade beasts with just one strike.

A confident and proud smile hung on her face as she killed and killed every demonized beasts that entered her sight. Even demonized beasts that wanted to sneak attack Aaliyah were dealt by Edith in a swift manner as they advanced forward.

Miguel, who had just emerged from the ground, looked at the scene with great interest.

Like Aaliyah, Edith also has her own set of skills befitting of her title and moniker.

Her Innate Skill, was as overpowered as Aaliyah’s Incinerate Innate Skill.

Aside from that, her other skills were [Executioner’s Slash], [Tempest Blade], [Flash Step], [Sword Master], and [Demon Subjugator].

Using these skills, Edith effortlessly massacred the demonized beasts with a fierce smile on her face.

Miguel’s figure phased to the shadows and appeared right behind Aaliyah in an instant.

The next moment, a worm-like creature burrowed out of the ground and was about to grab a bite out of Aaliyah’s legs when Miguel appeared out of nowhere to kick it away, sending it flying out of the ground as it landed a few meters away. It was not dead but it was not far from death either.

When he burrowed underground using [Earth Escape] earlier, he actually saw these creatures lying in ambush underneath, hence he paid special attention to them.

"There’s still a lot of those worms underneath, be careful," Miguel reminded the both of them as he phased in the shadows once more to leave the most dangerous area at this moment.

Hearing that, Aaliyah and Edith nodded their heads, taking note of his reminder.

Aaliyah walked right behind Edith’s protection.

At the top of her head was a massive fireball she had been condensing since earlier.

One of her hands was raised elegantly in mid-air, as though she was holding the miniature sun right above her head. Her other hand waved through the air, conducting the fireballs and fire arrows that was launched towards the endless smaller demonized beast

For those demonized beasts she was not able to kill, Edith would appear and slash it in half in a moment of notice, allowing Aaliyah to condense the massive fireball above her head with full concentration.

As for the massive fireball being condensed on her head, it was the attack she planned to cast along with Edith’s [Demon Subjugator] skill towards the demon’s heart in order to destroy it completely.

Just like Edith had said, Demons were tenacious and were very hard to kill.

Due to their limited strength, the both of them could only work together to kill the demon’s heart situated right above the elevated rock that was now only a few meters away from.

And this was just a single Demon heart.

According to Edith, depending on their strength, Demons naturally have multiple hearts. As long as one heart remains intact, the Demon would not die and would be able to revive one way or another using its other hearts.

Her Skill, [Demon Subjugator] was a perfect skill she created in order to kill Demons from her previous life.

However, her strength and skill were limited at this moment so she needed Aaliyah to weaken the demon heart first before she attacked with the [Demon Subjugator] Skill. This skill also has a massive energy consumption. At her current strength, she estimated that she would only be able to cast it one or two times before dropping to the ground in exhaustion, and at that point, even her [Indomitable Will] would no longer help her to get up.

In this battle, Edith was the most active.

She was constantly using [Flash Step] to move around in an instant, even helping Miguel escape some encirclement from time to time as the demonized beast horde became thicker and thicker.

Wounds appeared around her body as more and more broke through her defense. Even Aaliyah had a few minor wounds on her body at this moment. She was also breathing roughly and it was apparent that she was getting exhausted with her constant skill spamming.

"Aaliyah, use [Incinerating Beam] and rushed towards the center along with Edith to deal with the demon’s heart. If this situation continues, we’re all going to die from their sheer numbers alone," Miguel could finally no longer sit still anymore and ordered.

"Edith, buy Aaliyah some time and let her condense a bigger [Incinerating Beam] to create a safe path forward."

The situation was getting worse and he did not want Edith and Aaliyah to receive any more wounds.

Aaliyah and Edith nodded their heads as they attacked the demonized beasts around them without stop.

The next moment, Edith used [Flash Step] once more and appeared right in front of Aaliyah in an instant.

She then held the now broken Volcanic Wyrm Sword in front of her with both of her hands as she performed one of her skills, [Tempest Blade].
