Chapter 140: saviour
Rose lay on her bed, her eyes closed, peacefully sleeping. Suddenly, a hand covered her nose, making her struggle in her sleep. Her eyes snapped open, and in the darkness, she met a pair of golden eyes. Her vision was still blurry. She struggled to free herself from the person’s hand blocking her mouth.
Finally, she saw the person who had covered her mouth. She wanted to call out their name, but their hand was still blocking her mouth. When they released her, she gasped, "Damien, you’re here?"
Rose couldn’t believe it. "Damien, you’re here. I didn’t know you’d reach me." Her mind immediately wondered how the man got there, since Rolan secured the area and escape seemed impossible.
Damien took a deep breath. "I came to tell you I’ve been searching for you for a long time, and I couldn’t find you. Finally, I’ve seen you, Rose."
Rose blinked, pushing her hair behind her ear.
"I can’t believe you found me. What about Roland? Does he know you’re here? If he sees you trying to take me away from this place... what will he do to you?"
Damien smiled. "I’m not scared of Roland, Rose. I came here to save you. You’ve been missing, and everyone is worried. Zara is especially worried."
Rose sighed, clutching her shirt.
"I really wanted to escape, Damien. I thought no one would ever find me," she whispered, afraid someone might hear.
"Well, I finally did. So we’re leaving this place—tonight," Damien said firmly.
Rose looked at him with a small smile.
